Post time for the today’s first race at Will Rogers Downs is 1:15 PM (CDT).

  • Post Time: 4:15 PM (CDT)
  • Purse: $19,800
  • Distance: 6 furlongs (dirt)
  • Conditions: For Maidens, Fillies Three Years Old

Race 7 Runners and Odds Forecast

  • Quincy Be Quik, R. Flores, 15/1
  • Pussycat Pussycat, F. Wethey, Jr., 6/1
  • Ragan’s Jet, C. Kimes, 8/1
  • Hallies Dream, A. B. Ramos, 8/1
  • Terris Strong Hope, T. Cunningham, 30/1
  • Latejana, D. Sorenson, 20/1
  • A P Meteor, A. Triana Jr., 30/1
  • Quick Calisia, K. S. Tohill, 4/1
  • A Fast Broad, L. Wade, 12/1
  • Slidan, J. Shepherd, 30/1
  • Lady Laura, L. J. Luzzi, 2/1
  • Star Prado, D Cabrera, 10/1

Race 7 Prediction and Pick

This is Lady Laura’s race to lose, and with Lane J. Luzzi aboard, that’s not likely to happen—even out there at the far end of the starting gate. Sure, you could place a safety bet on Hallies Dream (8/1), but I’m not sure Adrian Ramos is the jockey to get her there.

For a longshot, you could try Slidan, ridden by Justin Shepherd, at 30/1. She’s finished in the money for two of her four career starts, making her a bit of a standout among these fillies.

  • Lady Laura

  • Post Time: 4:45 PM
  • Purse: $19,800
  • Distance: 1 mile (dirt)
  • Conditions: For Maidens, Three Years Old and Upward

Race 8 Runners and Odds Forecast

  • Box Seat, K. S. Tohill, 2/1
  • Princess Power, S. E. Bermudez, 20/1
  • R V T Thunder Road, A. Triana Jr., 20/1
  • Bad Boy Kenny, A. Pusac, 20/1
  • Tapsolution, L. J. Luzzi, 5/2
  • Wild and Golden, G. Herrera, 20/1
  • Whiskey Factor, T Kennedy, 3/1
  • Just Ask Joel, D. Cabrera, 7/2

Race 8 Prediction and Pick

This will be the favorite’s first start since gelding, but first post position forgives a multitude of sins, so he’ll almost certainly cross the finish line first. Still, don’t ignore Whiskey Factor and Just Ask Joel, even though they’re starting way out at the other end of the gate.

If you’re looking for a longshot, Wild and Golden is the only one of the 20/1 competitors that has finished in the money (once) in their careers.

  • Box Seat

  • Post Time: 5:15 PM
  • Purse: $20,900
  • Distance: 1 mile (dirt)
  • Conditions: For Three Year Olds and Upward Which Have Never Won a Race Other Than Maiden, Claiming, Starter, or Oklahoma State Bred Allowance or Which Have Never Won Two Races

Race 9 Runners and Odds Forecast

  • Sugoi, R. Eikleberry, 8/1
  • March West, G. Steinberg, 20/1
  • Flash Forecast, C. Kimes, 12/1
  • Call Me, K.S. Tohill, SCRATCHED
  • Mr Midtown, L. J. Luzzi, 12/1
  • Gospel Abe, A. Triana Jr., 8/1
  • Lindante, D. Cabrera, 4/1
  • Momma’s Baby Boy, F. Wethey, Jr., 5/2
  • Yak, T. Kennedy, 12/1
  • Kirk of Diamonds, L. D. Goncalves, 7/2

Race 9 Prediction and Pick

Momma’s Baby Boy and Kirk of Diamonds are tops on the moneyline, but Sugoi—with Ry Eikleberry aboard—in first post position could be a bit of a surprise in this race.

For longshot fans, take a look at March West. Jockey Gary Steinberg has not been having the best year, but he and March West have some advantage in the number 2 post position, so, well, dreams can happen.
