  • Princess Ashlyn, R Guce, 7/2
  • No Wine Untasted, V J Flores, 6/1
  • Silken Spy, E Hernandez, 6/1

Race 3 Prediction and Pick

Even the moneyline isn’t all that impressed with the field in this race. Juan Sanchez’s mount, Naughty Sophie, is the favorite at 2/1, with Princess Ashlyn and Time for Ebby at 7/2 and 5/1, respectively. Naughty Sophie is a respectable, defensible choice here, but I’m going with Princess Ashlyn, ridden by Ramon Guce. She’s had 35 career starts, she’s made money with 21 of them, and she leads the other horses in this field with 9 wins.

  • Princess Ashlyn

Race 4 Runners and Odds Forecast

  • Promise Nothing, E K Rojas Fernandez, 5/1
  • Stay Golden, F Orduna-Rojas, 10/1
  • Mountain View, J E Sanchez, 15/1
  • Swamp’n Ain’t Ez, B Harvey, 4/1
  • Golden Image, M V Donoe, 30/1
  • Overkoter, E Payeras, 10/1
  • Scouted, E Garcia, 5/2
  • King of Leon, M Arana, 20/1
  • Equipo A, V Bednar, 10/1

Race 4 Prediction and Pick

The moneyline thinks far too highly of Scouted, this race’s 5/2 favorite. I’m going with Promise Nothing, rated at a respectable 5/1. Sure, Ramon Guce is riding the second-favored horse, Tromador, and I like Guce, but newer jockey Eduard Fernandez has plenty to prove aboard Promise Nothing—and I believe that’s exactly what will happen.

  • Promise Nothing

  • Post Time: 7:52 PM
  • Purse: $11,000
  • Type: MAIDEN (mixed)
  • Distance: 870 yards
  • Conditions: For Maidens, Fillies And Mares Three Years Old And Upward

Race 5 Runners and Odds Forecast

  • Stopped Raining, F Orduna-Rojas, 8/1
  • Lucky Daughter, V J Flores, 5/2
  • Secret of War, V Bednar, 8/1
  • Laurentia, B Harvey, 20/1
  • La Sabalera, E Hernandez, 4/1
  • It’s a Riddle, R Guce, 8/5
  • Energy Cat, J E Sanchez, 8/1

Race 5 Prediction and Pick

Favorites in this maiden race are It’s a Riddle, Lucky Daughter, and La Sabalera, and I’m inclined to believe the moneyline here. Ramon Guce’s mount for this ride, It’s a Riddle, has the most experience, with eight career starts and six finishes in the money. At 8/5, this won’t be a big money win, but consider it a moral victory, if you must.

  • It’s a Riddle
