Free Horse Racing Picks and Tips for Gulfstream Park on Thursday, April 23, 2020

Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida, is still on track with its racing schedule, with a 10-race card of both turf and dirt competitions on Thursday, April 23, 2020. I’ll take a close look at three of the day’s richest races and make a few winning picks that surprised me as much as anybody.
The weather forecast for Hallandale Beach, Florida, on Thursday, April 23, 2020, is partly cloudy skies, temps in the high 80s, a zero percent chance of rain, and winds around 18 mph. That’s probably good news for the turf races but bad news for the MTO (Main Track Only) also-eligibles who might have been hoping for rain.
As always, you can find the full card of races, entries, and wagering options for Gulfstream Park at any of the top sites for betting on US horse racing.
Post time for the first race at Gulfstream Park April 23, 2020, is 1 PM (EDT).

Race 6 Runners and Odds Forecast
- 1 No Getting Over Me, E J Zayas, 4/1
- 2 Untitled, L Saez, 6/5
- 3 Roman Empire, L Panici, 9/2
- 4 First and Three, C A Torres, 6/1
- 5 Gray Beau, N Juarez, 10/1
- 6 Winking At Thedude, E Jaramillo, 6/1
- 7 Undaunted, M Meneses, 20/1
Race 6 Prediction and Pick
With Untitled as the odds-on favorite in this race, it would be foolish to look at any others, right? Well, I think Gray Beau, with Nik Juarez aboard, is a solid contender. With 54 starts, Gray Beau has started in more races than all the others combined—and he won nine of those. Sure, Luis Saez is the more experienced jockey, and Untitled has a better post position, but I think this race is Gray Beau’s to lose.

- 7 Quenane (MTO) L Saez, 8/1
- 8 Home Base (MTO), C Landeros, 10/1
- 13 Champagneonme (MTO), M A Vasquez, 8/1
Race 7 Prediction and Pick
Dr. Edgar is the favorite here, followed by Gemonteer and Morocco, but I’m going with Driven by Thunder, ridden by Leonel Reyes. At 6/1, Driven by Thunder offers a reasonable return on your wager, and with 10 wins in his 31-start career, he’s the one to watch.
Of course, in the remote likelihood the race moves to the dirt track, bet Phat Man.

- 12 Timmy M., C A Torres, 20/1
Also Eligibles:
- 13 Prince of Arabia, L Panici, 8/1
Race 9 Prediction and Pick
Temple is the favorite here at 3/1, with Opry (4/1) and Arthur Kitt (9/2) close behind. I’m sticking with Temple, with Luis Saez in the irons. Temple’s got a great record in his career so far, with 16 career starts, eleven of which were in the money, and four were for first-place wins. You might want to throw two bucks at a win ticket for Arthur Kitt, as well.
