The favorite in this race, Legit, has performed well in his three career starts (three starts, three money finishes, two wins), but there are better and more experienced horses closer to the pole that he is, and more likely to prevail.

The horse I like best in this race is Noble Thought, with a good post position and a very respectable starting record: money in two-thirds of his 30 starts, with nine first place finishes.

This longshot’s easy: Go with Ice Tea at 6/1.

 I know–not much of a long shot, but Ice Tea has won nearly half of his 24 career starts (11 firsts, to be exact), and that outside post position shouldn’t hurt his prospects at all.

At 8/5 moneyline, Dr. Post is everybody’s favorite to win the Unbridled Stakes, and with Irad Ortiz, Jr. aboard, who could blame them? Me, that’s who.

There are several better horses in this race, and the one I choose is South Bend (4/1), ridden by Rajiv Maragh. South Bend has finished in the money for six of his eight career starts, with three of those wins.

You might also consider a wager on Americanus (6/1) for this stakes race.

He’s got a good career record, a great jockey (Edgard J. Zayas), and an enviable post position. What’s not to love?

Soldado, Spinoff, and Yorkton hold the most favored moneyline positions, and I have to go with that for this race. My pick is Soldado, ridden by Luis Saez, at 2/1.

 Five career starts ending with four money runs, three of them wins—take that and throw in a great post position and you have got the makings of a first place finish.

Your longshot wager here is Hembree, ridden by Emisael Jaramillo.

At 12/1, this six-year-old actually has been in the money more than the third-favored Yorkton—and has a much better post position.
