I’m not nearly as impressed with the 2/1 favorite as the moneyline seems to be, but then again, I don’t see any horse I can point to as a better alternative. So it’s the 2/1 favorite for me: Secret Castle, with Fredy Peltroche in the irons. This three-year-old filly moneyed four out of her seven career starts, with one of those a win.

I think 15/1 underestimates Yodel Lady, with Reshawn Latchman aboard, and I have a two-dollar show ticket that says I mean it. This four-year-old filly finished in the money for 13 of her 21 career starts, with three of those wins. Mathematicians reading this may have already noticed that her career stats are slightly better than those of the favorite’s in terms of percentages. Makes you say “hmmmm.”

You might also consider a show ticket for the 10/1 Lady’s Cork, with Antonio Lopez in the irons. This five-year-old mare also shares similar WPS stats with the favorite, but additionally, her jockey is the winningest in this race.

I’m going with the 5/2 moneyline favorite for this maiden race: Bayou Bougie, ridden by Antonio Lopez. As in most maiden races, none of the competing horses have much to brag about, but at least Bayou Bougie moneyed in her single career start. It also helps that Lopez is one of the more experienced and skilled jockeys in this race.

I see no long-odds entries in this race worth the risk.

I like the 9/5 favorite in this race, Gallinella, with Arnaldo Bocachica aboard. This four-year-old filly has finished in the money eight times in 11 career starts. Also, Bocachica.

Riskiest I want to get in this race is 10/1: Right Notion, with Christian Hiraldo in the irons. This four-year-old filly has moneyed four times in her six career starts. Worth a show ticket.
