Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 25 Tips – Best FPL Players, Transfers, Rankings, and More
The Premier League action is coming thick and fast at the moment. Gameweek 24 ended on Thursday, with Gameweek 25 kicking off this Saturday.
Fantasy Premier League managers have a double gameweek to navigate this weekend, as well as a blank for Chelsea and Arsenal. Manchester United and Brighton both play twice in Gameweek 25, with the former hosting Southampton and the latter visiting Watford.
On Tuesday, the Red Devils welcome the Seagulls to Old Trafford to close out the round. As a result, Man Utd and Brighton players feature heavily among my FPL Gameweek 25 tips, transfers, and rankings.
Join me as I take you through the best players for FPL Gameweek 25. I also look at a number of FPL differentials who could pick up points this weekend.
FPL Gameweek 25 Fixtures
Let’s get the ball rolling by checking out the fixtures for FPL Gameweek 25.
As I already mentioned, Arsenal and Chelsea don’t feature this weekend, while Man Utd and Brighton double up.
- Manchester United vs. Southampton
- Watford vs. Brighton
- Brentford vs. Crystal Palace
- Everton vs. Leeds
- Norwich vs. Manchester City
- Tottenham vs. Wolves
- Newcastle vs. Aston Villa
- Burnley vs. Liverpool
- Leicester vs. West Ham
- Manchester United vs. Brighton
Elsewhere, Manchester City and Liverpool face Norwich and Burnley, respectively. That means its’ first against third-bottom and second against bottom in the Premier League table.
The clash between fourteenth-place Brentford and thirteenth-place Crystal Palace is destined to be tense encounter, as both sides are in danger of falling into the relegation battle. Below them, Newcastle is on the rise.
Best FPL Players for Gameweek 25 – Top 5 FPL Players
Here are my top five players for FPL Gameweek 25. Naturally, Man Utd and Brighton names dominate this section.
But I have also included a familiar face that is back from AFCON duty. No prizes for guessing who that might be!
Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United (£11.7m)
Bruno Fernandes racked up a whopping 18 goals and 14 assists during his debut EPL campaign. We all know that he has struggled to hit those heights this season, but he is a must-have pick for Gameweek 25.
Bruno has started all but one of Man Utd’s EPL games this season, meaning he will almost certainly feature in Ralf Rangnick’s starting XI against both Southampton and Brighton. He has the potential to score big in Gameweek 25.
Neal Maupay, Brighton (£6.5m)
Granted, a Brighton double gameweek is not most exciting double gameweek imaginable. But there are several Brighton players who could pick up plenty of FPL points across the next two games.
The Seagulls come up against Watford and Man Utd in Gameweek 25, and both of those teams have struggled defensively of late. Consequently, Neal Maupay should get lots of opportunities to score.
Maupay is Brighton’s most productive player by a considerable margin. The French forwards has notched seven goals and two assists in the Premier League this season, including three goals and two assists in his previous eight appearances.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United (£12.5m)
Cristiano Ronaldo chalked up eight goals and three assists across his first 15 EPL matches this season. Although the 37-year-old has blanked in each of his past four outings, you would be foolish to disregard him when it comes to making your Gameweek 25 transfers.
Despite his recent barren spell, Ronaldo remains Man Utd’s top scorer in the Premier League this term. Let’s face it – nobody would be shocked if he ran riot against Southampton and Brighton.
Marc Cucurella, Brighton (£5.1m)
If you’re looking for a double gameweek defender, look no further than Marc Cucurella. The Spaniard has started every single game for Brighton since arriving in the EPL and has shown huge promise at both ends of the pitch.
Boasting an xA (expected assists) of 1.74, Cucurella is a big threat going forward. He has created a colossal 28 chances in 19 Premier League outings and has also made the most final-third passes of any Brighton player this term.
Mohamed Salah, Liverpool (£12.8m)
The Egyptian King is back!
He may not have been able to guide the Pharaohs to AFCON glory, but Mohamed Salah is still the highest-scoring player in FPL this season. The Liverpool forward missed just two EPL games before coming off the bench against Leicester on Thursday.
|MOST FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE POINTS (2021-22)|
|Joao Cancelo||Manchester City||£7.2m||141|
|Jarrod Bowen||West Ham||£6.9m||135|
Having bagged 16 goals and nine assists in 21 Premier League appearances, Salah simply has to be in every FPL team. He could easily humiliate Burnley this weekend and then raise hell against both Norwich and Leeds as the Reds double up in Gameweek 26.
FPL Differentials for Gameweek 25 – Low Ownership Options
I have decided to feature five FPL differentials for Gameweek 25, simply because there are so many exciting options right now. Not only do the players in this section boast low ownership, but they also have the potential to rack up a good deal of points this weekend.
Jacob Ramsey, Aston Villa (£4.7m)
Jacob Ramsey is on fire right now. The 20-year-old bagged a brace against Leeds in midweek, meaning he has registered four goals and one assist in his previous six EPL matches.
Despite posting FPL scores of 10, 2, 1, 12, 3, and 14 across the past six gameweeks, the Aston Villa midfielder is still owned by just 4.7% of managers. With Philippe Coutinho grabbing the headlines, Ramsey is an excellent FPL differential.
Edinson Cavani, Manchester United (£8.4m)
Due to his age, it is highly unlikely that Ronaldo will play the full 90 minutes against both Southampton and Brighton. That makes Edinson Cavani (2.0% ownership) a great option for Gameweek 25.
The Uruguayan has started four of Man Utd’s last six Premier League matches, so Rangnick clearly favors him. Having notched two goals and one assist across his previous seven EPL outings, Cavani will be eager to add to his tally.
Alexis Mac Allister, Brighton (£5.3m)
Believe it or not, Alexis Mac Alliser is owned by just 0.7% of Fantasy Premier League managers. Since the Seagulls have two fixtures in Gameweek 25, I can see the Argentine playmaker picking up plenty of FPL points.
Mac Allister has contributed four goals and four assists in all competitions this term and has started all the Seagulls’ previous six EPL games. With two goals and an assist in his last four games, he is a hugely attractive option at the moment.
James Ward-Prowse, Southampton (£6.4m)
James Ward-Prowse is undoubtedly one of the Premier League’s most in-form players. The Southampton captain has racked up four goals and four assists in his past seven EPL appearances, including two assists against Spurs in midweek.
Despite carrying a huge threat, the set-piece wizard boasts a 3.7% ownership. He will fancy his chances of exploiting Man Utd’s iffy defense this weekend.

Lewis Dunk, Brighton (£4.8m)
At 9.9%, Shane Duffy is the most-owned Brighton defender. Cucurella (3.5%) and Tariq Lamptey (2.6%) are also good differential options, but I really like the look of Lewis Dunk at just 2.2%.
The Brighton captain played every single minute of EPL action until Gameweek 14 before suffering a knee injury. However, he is now back from injury and looks set to slot straight back into the Seagulls’ backline.
The double gameweek provides him with the ideal opportunity to pick up points.
FPL Gameweek 25 – Top Player Rankings
It’s time to check out the best FPL Gameweek 25 players for each position. In this section, I rank the top five goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards for Gameweek 25.
Best Goalkeepers for FPL Gameweek 25
- David De Gea, Manchester United (£5.3m)
- Robert Sanchez, Brighton (£4.6m)
- Ederson, Manchester City (£6.1m)
- Alisson, Liverpool (£6.0m)
- Jose Sa, Wolves (£5.2m)
It goes without saying that David De Gea and Robert Sanchez are the best goalkeepers for Gameweek 25. They are the only goalkeepers who double up in the upcoming round, and they both have favorable fixtures.
With Man City travelling Norwich and Liverpool visiting Burnley, Ederson and Alisson will be confident of adding to their clean sheet hauls this weekend. Jose Sa is another good option, given that he is the third-best goalkeeper in terms of FPL points this term.
Best FPL Defenders for Gameweek 25
- Marc Cucurella, Brighton (£5.1m)
- Raphael Varane, Manchester United (£5.5m)
- Lewis Dunk, Brighton (£4.8m)
- Harry Maguire, Manchester United (£5.4m)
- Joao Cancelo, Manchester City (£7.1m)
Unsurprisingly, Brighton and Man Utd players dominate my FPL defender rankings for Gameweek 25. I have also included Man City’s Joao Cancelo here, as he looks set to claim both defensive and attacking returns against Norwich.
If you’re backing the Seagulls, Cucurella and Dunk are your best options. In my eyes, Varane and Maguire are the most reliable Man Utd defenders. Rangnick’s full-back rotation could come back to haunt you if you opt for the likes of Luke Shaw, Diogo Dalot, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Alex Telles.
Best Midfielders for FPL Gameweek 25
- Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United (£11.7m)
- Kevin De Bruyne, Manchester City (£12.2m)
- Mohamed Salah, Liverpool (£12.8m)
- Marcus Rashford, Manchester United (£9.4m)
- Diogo Jota, Liverpool (£8.5m)
The double gameweek midfield options are not as plentiful as the other positions. As you can see, I’m not excited about Brighton midfielders. Marcus Rashford is arguably the best Man Utd option, aside from Bruno, of course.
Kevin De Bruyne has bagged five goals and two assists across the past eight gameweeks. You can’t ignore that kind of form. Diogo Jota scored twice against Leicester on Thursday, meaning he has netted eight goals in his previous 12 EPL matches.
Best FPL Forwards for Gameweek 25
- Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United (£12.5m)
- Neal Maupay, Brighton (£6.5m)
- Edinson Cavani, Manchester United (£8.4m)
- Michail Antonio, West Ham (£7.8m)
- Ollie Watkins, Aston Villa (£7.7m)
Opting for both Ronaldo and Cavani would be a brave move, but it could prove to be hugely beneficial. Both Man Utd forwards are destined to get plenty of minutes against Southampton and Brighton, so they could collect a ton of points between them.
Maupay is surely the best forward for Brighton’s double gameweek, with Danny Welbeck the only other realistic option. West Ham’s Michail Antonio will likely enjoy success against leaky Leicester, while Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins could haul against Newcastle.
Looking Ahead to FPL Gameweek 25
The most important thing to consider ahead of Gameweek 25 is the fixture schedule. You should know by now that Man Utd and Brighton double up, but it is also important to remember that Chelsea and Arsenal blank this weekend.
When you look further ahead, you will notice a huge double gameweek on the horizon. Arsenal, Burnley, Crystal Palace, Leeds, Liverpool, Tottenham, Watford, and Wolves all play twice in Gameweek 26.
With Arsenal, Chelsea, Leicester, and Liverpool all blanking in Gameweek 27, it is imperative that you plan your FPL transfers wisely. You don’t want to bring in players that you might need to transfer out in a couple of weeks.
Anyway, that’s it for my Gameweek 25 FPL tips. If you found this page useful, be sure to come back next week to check out my FPL Gameweek 26 tips, player rankings, and a whole load more.
