Esports Betting Tips for Wednesday, June 3rd – Today’s Picks and Predictions for CS:GO and Dota 2

| June 3, 2020 12:07 am PDT

If you still haven’t wagered on the most popular Counter-Strike and Dota 2 tournaments online, this esports betting tips post is the perfect starting point.

There are plenty of opportunities to bank some huge winnings today and I share my top esports picks with you complete with the start time, latest odds, and the bookmakers of my choice.

There’s a lot to go over so let’s kick things off with a crunch playoff tie from the ESL One Birmingham event.

Team Secret vs. Alliance Over 2.5

  • Game: Dota 2
  • Tournament: ESL Birmingham EU & CIS
  • Starting time: 07:00 AM Pacific Time
  • Odds: +160
  • Where to bet: Betway

Team Secret lost a bit of its fear factor after recently falling to Syman Gaming but the hammering they dishes out to Team Nigma in their last game proves that the team has the resources to quickly stop a potential downward spiral.

However, they have lost a few rounds lately and Alliance is one of the most tactically-astute and experienced teams on the scene.

Secret will probably edge this one as well but it won’t be a walk in the park unless they dramatically improve today.

You’re always going to get high odds when you back an option different from a 2:0 Secret win and today presents a great chance to do that.

If you need more convincing, you can head to my colleague’s Team Secret vs. Alliance betting preview where he provides an in-depth look at both organizations and the reasoning behind this pick.

Fnatic to beat mousesports

  • Game: CS:GO
  • Tournament: BLAST Premier Showdown EU
  • Starting time: 10:15 AM Pacific Time
  • Odds: +100
  • Where to bet: 10Bet

We will witness a repeat of the ESL Pro League Grand Final today when Fnatic take on mousesports.

The Swedish outfit bested The MouZ the last time around and it’s not a bad time for them to face them again.

Captain chrisj and his team have been in woeful form as of late and there was indeed some improvement in the Gamers Without Borders event but they are still highly unpredictable and something rotten is definitely happening within the roster.

Since they were able to make a partial comeback against an inspired Natus Vincere in the GWB Grand Final, I’m reluctant to back Golden and his guys to record a dominant win but I still feel that they will come up on top today.

They haven’t been on the best of runs but the recent 16-7 win against will breed some confidence into the group and they will definitely fancy their chances of beating mousesports again today.

Vitality (-3.5) vs. Astralis

  • Game: CS:GO
  • Tournament: BLAST Premier Showdown EU
  • Starting time: 11:30 AM Pacific Time
  • Odds: +127
  • Where to bet: BetOnline

The current World No. 1 team has fallen on hard times after being dominant throughout April and May.

Captain gla1ve and key player Xyp9x have taken a leave of absence so the Danes brought in Snappi from Heroic and are giving a chance to another new acquisition JUGI.

The plan backfired when Astralis met NiP as the Ninjas ran riot and quickly wrapped up a 16-7 win.

New in-game leader Magisk and his teammates improved to take down sAw but the Portuguese outfit is hardly an elite force and I feel the Danes will have big problems today.

Needless to say, ZywOo will once again be Vitality’s main threat but there have been some great displays from RpK and captain apEX as of late.

The word in the CS:GO community is that ZywOo only needs one teammate to beat any team and there is definitely some truth to that.

The Frenchmen are in the zone right now and they will relish the chance to kick Astralis when they’re down.

There are a lot of ways to approach this tie but I feel the odds for the -3.5 handicap present the best value.

More Esports Betting Tips for Wednesday, June 3rd

Now for the rest of my top esports picks for today:

  • Team Nigma to beat VP.Prodigy; +119
  • Cloud9 to beat Evil Geniuses; +118
  • MIBR (-2.5) vs. Gen.G; +125

Backing Nigma to beat VP.Prodigy may look rash and I fully understand that the team is coming into this tie as the underdog but I feel they have the resources to make this count.

They were on a four-game winning run prior to meeting an aggravated Team Secret in the last game but losing to the most dominant force on the Dota 2 scene will hardly erase the momentum that the Nigma boys have built.

On the flip side, the youth roster has looked shaky as of late and usually, their inexperience does play a part when it comes to the playoffs.

I feel the odds for Nigma are higher than they should be so this is an ideal bet to target today.

Going back to the CS:GO events, I’m siding with Cloud9 to beat Evil Geniuses again. They have toppled their rivals in the last two meetings and key player floppy ys flying right now.

EG has been resting on old laurels lately and while I do understand why the bookmakers are pinning them as the favorite, I feel that the momentum The Cloud has will be enough for another victory today.

Normally, I wouldn’t back MIBR against Gen.G but daps and his team aren’t able to kick into high gear right now.

Their on-and-off form is worrying and despite a good win against Chaos, they haven’t been able to execute their tactical plans as well as they did at the ESL One: Road to Rio event.

On the flip side, MIBR finally beat FURIA and although they finished tied with Chaos, FalleN and his team have definitely improved in the last two weeks.

The map will play a huge role here but the Brazilians will be feeling confident after seeing Gen.G struggle in recent games.

A -2.5 handicap for MIBR sounds logical here and makes for a solid price.

That’s it for my best esports bets post for Wednesday but before I go, I want to stress how important it is to use a reputable bookmaker when placing your wagers online.

Some of the betting sites have lower margins, which means higher odds to take advantage of and there are also numerous exclusive deals waiting for you.
