Esports Betting Tips for Wednesday, June 24th – Today’s Picks and Predictions for CS:GO and Dota 2

Esports Betting Tips for Wednesday, June 24th, 2020

Things on both the CS:GO and Dota 2 scenes are heating up right now!

Today will see the conclusion of the group stages at the BTS Pro Series and Beyond Epic Dota tournaments, while the CS_SUMMIT main event kicks off with some of the top CS:GO forces set to feature in the battles.

There are also plenty of other competitions to pick from today and with my best esports bets for Wednesday, I present to you the ones that I believe carry the best value.

I include both the current odds and my bookmaker of choice for the top three picks of the day, so let’s start with an Eastern European derby at the CS:GO Clutch Island event.

Natus Vincere vs. Hard Legion Over 2.5

  • Game: CS:GO
  • Tournament: WePlay! Clutch Island
  • Starting time: 06:00 AM Pacific Time
  • Odds: +146
  • Where to bet: BetOnline

NAVI’s opening Clutch Island was a disaster as the team fell to an inspired Gambit Youngsters performance.

Captain Boombl4 and his teammates started the tie slowly but somehow managed to close the first half on Overpass with a 9:6 lead. However, the underdogs improved and pushed the round to a tiebreak in which they outlasted their opponent.

Natus Vincere did clinch a tight second round on Train which was mainly down to s1mple’s insane kill count but were then beaten again by Gambit’s youth side on Dust II.

Russians Hard Legion also lost their first Stage 3 bout against fellow countrymen Virtus.pro, but there were a lot of positives for captain svyat and his squad.

After each team won with relative ease on their map of choice, things had to be settled on Inferno.

Virtus.pro notched up an early lead but the Legion fought back and was ever so close to pushing the series into a tiebreak but lost a 3v1 clutch in the 30th round and had to accept the L.

Despite that, I expect that players Krad and Forester will give NAVI a hard time and I can definitely see them snatching a map today given how inconsistent s1mple and his crew are right now.

G2 to Win vs. Fnatic

  • Game: CS:GO
  • Tournament: CS_SUMMIT 6 Europe
  • Starting time: 06:00 AM Pacific Time
  • Odds: -143
  • Where to bet: SportsBetting.ag

The first round of the European division at the 2020 CS_SUMMIT main event will treat us to a top derby between current world leaders G2 Esports and 6th-placed Fnatic.

The Frenchmen have hit a bit of a slump after allowing BIG to snatch the DreamHack title away from them and couldn’t make amends at the BLAST event.

Their countrymen Vitality sent nexa and his team to the Lower Bracket at the first playoff hurdle and they were then gunned down by Natus Vincere.

However, their opponents Fnatic have been plying their trade at second-tier tournaments for a while now and they look far away from the form that won them the ESL Pro League 11 a few months back.

There have been a plethora of mistakes on the individual and team tactics front from Golden and his most trusted generals KRIMZ and JW, and generally, I feel the Swedes will need some time to adjust to playing top-level opposition again.

I back KennyS and huNter- to lead G2 to a win here even if it takes them three maps to do it.

More details on my prediction and the current shape of these organizations can be found over at my full G2 vs. Fnatic betting preview for Wednesday.

Virtus.pro (-1.5) vs. NiP

  • Game: Dota 2
  • Tournament: Beyond Epic EU & CIS
  • Starting time: 08:00 AM Pacific Time
  • Odds: +125
  • Where to bet: Betway

Russians Virtus.pro started the Beyond Epic event on the wrong foot but have improved tremendously as the group stage progressed and have racked up some solid wins as of late.

The 2:0 beating they handed to Team Liquid was particularly impressive and there is a definite positive vibe in their camp right now.

On the flip side, Ninjas in Pyjamas have been atrocious and have gradually turned into the punching bag of the group.

Given the circumstances, a 2:0 win for the Russians looks like the most possible scenario and the odds of +125 over at Betway are an absolute steal.

If you want to know more about why this is one of the top esports bets you can make today, be sure to check my colleague’s complete Virtus.pro vs. NiP betting preview.

More Esports Betting Tips for Wednesday, June 24th

I have lined up three more predictions for today complete with the latest odds:

  • GODSENT vs. mousesports Over 2.5; -116
  • Vitality (-1.5) vs. FATE; -196
  • business associates to Win vs. 4Zoomers; +117

The mighty mousesports has completely fallen off a cliff in the last few months. Nothing is clicking for these guys right now and they have endured some heavy beatings in the recent tournaments they took part in.

GODSENT themselves beat them 2:0 when they met at the ESL One: Road to Rio qualifiers but I have to say that the Swedish outfit is not exactly enjoying its best vein of form right now either.

In their last five outings, they have racked up four defeats, three of them coming from the lower-ranked Russian teams Spirit, Virtus.pro, and forZe.

I definitely feel that kRYSTAL and his squad will give The MouZ a run for their money, though, and with the form the German organization has shown since May, it’s quite possible that the Swedes will snatch this tie.

However, I am more inclined to back a three-round game here as this is a fresh start for chrisj and his teammates and the quality on the roster suggests that they are bound to get back to their usual standards at some point.

Bulgarians FATE qualified for the CS_SUMMIT event by overcoming teams like PACT, SKADE, and legends Dignitas and they have to be congratulated for that alone.

They will now relish the chance to battle some of the CS:GO elite teams but I feel today’s tie against Vitality will prove too much for them.

ZywOo and his team will be desperate to bounce back quickly after losing the BLAST Premier Grand Final to Complexity Gaming and FATE will most definitely feel the rage today.

The odds of -196 are a fair price in what should be a very one-sided matchup.

And for my last pick, I’m going with a win for business associates against 4Zoomers.

The Zoomers have been the surprise package of the Dota 2 BTS Pro Series so far and are going to catch a spot for the Upper Bracket playoffs even if they lose.

However, their opponents today have been even better as they are certain to top of the group after securing a draw with Evil Geniuses yesterday.

The associates will look to continue their good run and it does seem like everything is clicking for these boys right now. I’m expecting another win for them and the odds of +117 make this one of the best bets you can place this Wednesday.
