Best Esports Picks for Wednesday, April 22

I’m sure that many of you have been waiting for the ESL One Road to Rio to start in EU and NA. Wednesday is the day! There will be a ton of CS:GO action, alongside some Dota 2 and League of Legends.

You can find at least one pick for all of those games in my post dedicated to the best esports bets available today. All of my esports betting tips come with odds and reasoning too. I also share a list of the individual previews we will publish on Wednesday in the end, so stay tuned.

Evil Geniuses (-1.5) vs. Orgless

  • Game: CS:GO
  • Tournament: ESL One Road to Rio: North America
  • Starting time: 1 pm Pacific Time
  • Odds: -155
  • Where to bet: 10bet

First in line is one of the opening matches of ESL Road to Rio in North America. I believe that Evil Geniuses should be able to demolish Orgless in this clash. The favorite showed excellent form during ESL Pro League Season 11 and dominated most of the tournament.

Sure, the Geniuses lost against Liquid in the final but there’s no shame in that. Orgless is miles behind today’s opponent, so I don’t see even a single map going in their favor. The price of -155 for EG to cover the -1.5 map advantage is one of the best esports bets today.

Quincy Crew vs. CR4ZY Over 2.5

  • Game: Dota 2
  • Tournament: BTS Pro Series: Americas
  • Starting time: 1 pm Pacific Time
  • Odds: -106
  • Where to bet: Betway

Both sides are leading the way in the BTS Pro Series: Americas with six wins and no defeats. The impressive streak of one of them will have to end today and I find it hard to determine if Quincy Crew or CR4ZY will go down for the first time in the tournament.

I don’t see how any of the sides can close this match in only two maps and you can get -106 for the clash to reach a third one. I believe that’s more than enough to include this pick to my recommended esports betting tips for Wednesday.

100 Thieves (-1.5) vs. Gen.G

  • Game: CS:GO
  • Tournament: ESL One Road to Rio: North America
  • Starting time: 1 pm Pacific Time
  • Odds: +152
  • Where to bet: BetOnline

I have included another match from ESL Road to Rio: NA to my esports betting tips for Wednesday. 100 Thieves is an interesting squad that has failed to compete with the top-tier teams consistently in 2020 but has looked real close for most of the time.

The squad is better than the rest of the field, though, and that’s where Gen.G is situated. I believe we will see a comfortable victory for the favorite here and the price of +152 for 100 Thieves to cover the -1.5 map advantage is great.

More Esports Betting Tips for Wednesday, April 22nd

  • Vodafone Giants to beat LDLC; -223
  • Astralis vs. Complexity over 2.5; +164
  • fnatic (-1.5) vs ENCE; -118

The odds I’ve used for all of my top esports picks for Wednesday might change by the time you read the post. That’s why I recommend you to take a look at some of the best online bookmakers for esports I’ve listed below and try to find the highest price possible for each wager.

With that out of the way, let’s return to my esports betting tips. I have included one League of Legends game from the European Masters that starts today. I believe that Vodafone Giants is the much better team than LDLC and the price of -223 for a win in favor of the Spaniards surprises me.

I expected something around the -300 mark and I couldn’t find any logical reason why the odds are higher than that. If I’m missing something, let me know in the comments section. In the meantime, I’m pretty sure that Vodafone’s victory is one of the best esports bets today.

I have the same sentiment about the over 2.5 maps option in the match between Astralis and Complexity. The Danish team is expected to win here but the guys have been slow starters in most tournaments recently.

Against such a strong opponent, I believe that would lead to defeat on at least one map and +164 for over 2.5 here is just too good to miss.

Finally, I have the match between fnatic and ENCE from the same tournament. After winning the ESL One Pro League Season 11, I believe that the confidence of fnatic will skyrocket and we should see the best of the squad in the near future.

That’s bad news for team ENCE and I don’t see a way to cope with the favorite today. A clean sweep is on the cards and -118 is good enough for me to back fnatic to win without losing a map.
