Esports Betting Tips for Tuesday, May 6th – Today’s Picks and Predictions for CS:GO, LoL, and Dota 2
Wednesday will be an interesting day for the esports competitive scene. The group stage of the Pushka League Division 1 ends today, while we’ll also witness more action in the ESL One Road to Rio. Both competitions are part of my esports betting tips for today, alongside more CS:GO, Dota 2, and League of Legends.
All of my best esports bets include short analysis, recommended odds, and other details that can help you understand my reasoning and make an informed decision if you want to follow my picks or not.
pro100 (+1.5) vs. Natus Vincere
- Game: CS:GO
- Tournament: ESL One Road to Rio, CIS
- Starting time: 6 am Pacific Time
- Odds: +116
- Where to bet: BetOnline
The huge favorite in the CIS region of the ESL One Road to Rio Natus Vincere has been struggling so far. The team had a lot of trouble in the opening match against ESPADA despite winning and then lost 2-0 against Virtus.pro in the second round.
That’s bad news because Na’Vi will have to face the high-flying pro100 next. The team has won two in a row and will feel confident going into this match. The favorites have been vulnerable and while s1imple has been at his usual best, the rest of the roster doesn’t provide enough support.
I believe that pro100 should be able to win at least one map under the circumstances and the price of +116 is so high that I felt obliged to add this to my esports betting tips for today.
GamersOrigin vs. K1CK Neosurf Over 2.5
- Game: LoL
- Tournament: European Masters 2020 Season Spring
- Starting time: 12:00 am Pacific Time
- Odds: +109
- Where to bet: SportsBetting.ag
On the surface, GamersOrigin is the better team in this LoL match from the European Masters playoffs and should progress to the next stage. While I agree with such a prediction, I don’t think that the upcoming clash against K1CK Neosurf will be easy.
The squad worked hard to get there and showed a lot of resilience. I believe that the underdog certainly won’t go down without a fight and might very well win one game to force a tiebreaker. That’s why the price of +109 for the over deserves a place in my recommended esports picks for Tuesday.
NiP to Beat OG
- Game: Dota 2
- Tournament: Pushka League Division 1
- Starting time: 10 am Pacific Time
- Odds: +100
- Where to bet: 10bet
The main reason for the last of my esports betting tips for today is related to the motivation and recent form of both teams. NiP is certainly through to the next stage of the Pushka League Division 1 and has been one of the solid teams in Group Europe.
I can’t say the same about OG who have registered only one victory and four losses so far. The squad has been struggling after the latest changes in Dota 2 and the only goal after the first couple of matches was to salvage a place in Division 1 for the next season of the competition.
That’s now secured after the win against Nigma, so today’s match essentially doesn’t matter for OG. As you can see, there are enough reasons to back Ninjas in Pyjamas here, so the price of +100 is among the best esports bets on Wednesday, in my opinion.
More Esports Betting Tips for Wednesday, May 6th
- Complexity vs. Fnatic over 2.5; +109
- Cloud9 to beat Envy; -145
- FlyToMoon (-1.5) vs. Team Spirit; +160
Before I share my reasons for the last couple of esports betting tips for today, I want to add my usual disclaimer. The odds might have moved by the time you’re reading this, so make sure to check some of the best esports betting sites for higher prices. The following could do the job.
Let’s get back to the best esports bets for Tuesday and the ESL One Road to Rio is next in line. Fnatic is expected to beat Complexity and I can certainly see why, but it won’t be easy. Despite losing four matches so far, the underdog managed to win a map in every single one of them.
If you add Fnatic’s struggles in the tournament, the over 2.5 available for +109 looks like excellent value. Both teams still have a chance to progress to the playoffs, so that’s a nice bonus for that pick.
Another clash from the ESL One Road to Rio I like is the NA quarterfinal between Cloud9 and Envy. Both teams can feel lucky to be here but for different reasons. Cloud9 had a shaky start and had to go through dramatic wins over Evil Geniuses and NiP to qualify, while Envy lost some steam in the last rounds and almost got eliminated.
Based on their trajectory so far, I feel that Cloud9 will be too strong today and the price of -149 for a win in their favor is good enough.
Finally, I have a match from the Dota 2 Epic Prime League. I love what FlyToMoon has shown both here and in the Pushka League after the latest patch, so I think they can beat Team Spirit rather comfortably today. You can get +160 for FTM to cover the -1.5 handicap and I love that price.
