Esports Betting Tips for Tuesday, June 23rd – Today’s Picks and Predictions for CS:GO and Dota 2

| June 23, 2020 12:01 am PDT
Best Esports Bets for June 23rd, 2020

The esports calendar continues today with a plethora of matchups played in the different regions of the competitive CS:GO and Dota 2 scenes.

After a couple of Grand Finals took place over the weekend, we are still in the early stages of the currently ongoing tournaments but there are still plenty of betting opportunities to take advantage of.

In my top esports bets for June 23rd, I explore several ties and provide you with my predictions based on my team analysis and the markets that provide the best betting value.

Let’s kick things off with a Russian derby taking place at the WePlay! Clutch Island CS:GO event.

Hard Legion to Win vs. Virtus.pro

  • Game: CS:GO
  • Tournament: WePlay! Clutch Island
  • Starting time: 09:00 AM Pacific Time
  • Odds: +150
  • Where to bet: 10Bet

Stage 3 of the WePlay! Clutch Island event starts today and Virtus.pro will be taking on fellow countrymen Hard Legion in what could prove to be a very close tie.

Captain AdreN and his team are pinned as the favorite here but the Hard Legion boys have been successful against their old foes in the past and will fancy their chances today after a good win against AGF in their last outing.

It will not be an easy task but I back the Legion to come out on top again today and with odds of +150, this might well be one of the best bets you can place today.

Team Secret to Win 2-1 vs. Team Nigma

  • Game: Dota 2
  • Tournament: Beyond Epic EU & CIS
  • Starting time: 11:00 AM Pacific Time
  • Odds: +233
  • Where to bet: SportsBetting.ag

Team Secret remain one of the most dominant Dota 2 squads in the world but they have been experiencing problems against today’s opponents as of late.

The Nigma boys have improved in almost every aspect in these past few months and are definitely in the elite bracket right now.

Their ingenious tactics and solid execution give them a chance to be competitive against any opponent and taking a few maps against Secret in the last mettings between these two prove that.

I still back the favorite to come out on top but Nigma should be able to snatch a round again and the odds of +233 are simply too hard to pass on.

Quincy Crew to Win vs. CR4ZY

  • Game: Dota 2
  • Tournament: BTS Pro Series Season 2: Americas
  • Starting time: 12:00 AM Pacific Time
  • Odds: -156
  • Where to bet: BetOnline

The BTS Pro Series event will see two of the top Dota 2 forces lock horns in the group stage today.

Quincy Crew have been far more stable and have racked up several impressive wins so far.

CR4ZY remain a top team but have had problems against every single one of the higher-ranked squads in the tournament and also allowed 4Zoomers to snatch a surprising win in the earlier stages.

This tie should go to QC and if you feel like you need more convincing, you can read more about our prediction in my colleague’s CR4ZY vs. Quincy Crew betting preview.

More Esports Betting Tips for Tuesday, June 23rd

Now for the rest of my top esports picks for Tuesday:

  • Gambit Youngsters (+1.5) vs. Natus Vincere; +105
  • Complexity (-1.5) vs. c0ntact; -132

Gambit Youngsters are a massive underdog coming into the tie with top dogs Natus Vincere but I believe they will be able to steal a map from the Russians and their Ukrainian superstar s1mple.

The NAVI boys can gun down any team on the CS:GO scene but their recent performances at the DreamHack and BLAST Premier events show that they can be unrecognizable at times, even against the lower-ranked teams.

Given that it’s the start of Stage 3 of the WePlay! Clutch Island event, s1mple and his crew might well be caught off-guard if the Gambit youth roster starts the series well and hit a few clutch shots when it matters.

Complexity Gaming won their first trophy after taking down several of the elite teams in the European CS:GO scene at the BLAST Premier event.

Captain blameF and his guys look quite solid right now and although they fell to the now dominant BIG organization, I believe they will carry the good vibe in the Lower Bracket of the CS_SUMMIT 6 qualifiers and have a comfortable outing against c0ntact.

The underdogs have definitely improved recently but they are nowhere near Complexity’s level and fell heavily to them just recently.

A 2:0 win for the favorite sounds logical here and you’ll be getting a very fair price for this wager.
