Esports Betting Tips for Tuesday, April 28th – Today’s Picks and Predictions for CS:GO and Dota 2

After a short break, the ESL One Road to Rio is back and this is the main focus of my recommended esports betting tips for today. I’ve also included some Dota 2 events to my list of best esports bets for Tuesday, April 28th.
Each pick comes with recommended odds and reasoning, so you understand the logic behind my selections. Feel free to share your thoughts on them or add your own ideas in the comments section.
Vitality to Beat Astralis
- Game: CS:GO
- Tournament: ESL One Road to Rio: EU
- Starting time: 9:30 am Pacific Time
- Odds: +300
- Where to bet: BetOnline
Let’s begin with a bold pick that is priced at +300 by most betting sites. Vitality and Astralis face each other after both teams have won one and lost one in Group A of the ESL One Road to Rio, Europe. Both sides have been shaky and not at their best so far.
That makes the match unpredictable, but the high odds for Vitality are too tempting. The team has a solid head-to-head against Astralis and zywoo has been on fire. That’s enough for me to take the +300 offered as one of the best esports bets for today.
OG vs. Alliance Over 2.5
- Game: Dota 2
- Tournament: Pushka League, D1
- Starting time: 10 am Pacific Time
- Odds: +114
- Where to bet: SportsBetting.Ag
The second of my top esports betting tips for Tuesday is for a Dota 2 clash. OG will begin the Pushka League Division 1 with a match against Alliance that already played twice. The side lost against Team Secret and beat Liquid in a close encounter.
That victory showed a lot of promise and should boost Alliance’s confidence. I still think that OG will win today, but the underdog is more than capable of stealing a game, so I’m taking the +114 offered for over 2.5.
Cloud9 vs. Evil Geniuses Over 2.5
- Game: CS:GO
- Tournament: ESL One Road to Rio, NA
- Starting time: 1 am Pacific Time
- Odds: +133
- Where to bet: 10bet
I believe that another ESL One Road to Rio match deserves a place on my list with esports betting tips for today, this time from North America. Evil Geniuses should be able to beat Cloud9, but I don’t think it’s going to be as easy as the odds suggest.
EG has been inconsistent so far and looked unconvincing on certain maps. While Cloud9 has been far from its best too, the team should show enough to win a map here, so the over 2.5 is my selection once again.
More Esports Betting Tips for Tuesday, April 28th
- Virtus.pro vs. B8 total time map 1 time under 33:00; -133
- Dignitas vs. fnatic over 2.5; +175
- G (-1.5) vs. Orgless; +127
Before I share my reasons for the last three esports picks for Tuesday, let me just mention something else. The odds I use here go up and down all the time, so it’s worth checking if there are higher prices for the same bets if you are going to follow me. The esports betting sites below are a good place to start.
Let’s move back to the best esports bets for today and my other selections. Virtus.pro faces B8 in the Epic Prime League today. The team has been dominating the competition and is yet to lose even a single round, while the opponent has been the punching bag of the group.
VP is the obvious favorite here and the prices of the bookmaker reflect that. And yet, I believe they made a mistake with the odds for one of the marginal markets. BetOnline offers -133 for the first game to last less than 33 minutes which is fantastic value.
A close look at Virtus.pro’s games so far shows that none of them has gone longer than 31 minutes and most are done before the 25th-minute mark. I expect more of the same today.
Next in line is the match between Dignitas and fnatic in the ESL One Road to Rio. The expectations are for a clear win for the latter, but I’m not so sure. The favorite struggled against ENCE and despite their own problems, Dignitas showed strength on a couple of popular maps.
The underdog should be able to hold its own pick, so the price of +175 for over 2.5 maps looks too good to miss.
The last of my esports betting tips for today is for another Road to Rio clash. GenG. has been excellent so far and I believe that a clean sweep against Orgless makes a lot of sense, considering the price of +127.
