Esports Betting Tips for Sunday, May 3rd – Today’s Picks and Predictions for CS:GO, LoL, and Dota 2
Sunday will be a very active day for esports. We have a lot of CS:GO matches from the ESL One Road to Rio in Europe, CIS, and North America. On top of that, there’s the Dota 2 Pushka League Division 1 and a couple of LoL encounters in various tournaments.
There’s plenty of entertainment available and you will see all three games covered in my esports betting tips for today. All of my best esports bets include recommended odds and my thoughts on the potential outcome.
Mousesports vs. G2 Esports Over 2.5
- Game: CS:GO
- Tournament: ESL One Road to Rio: EU
- Starting time: 9:30 am Pacific Time
- Odds: -119
- Where to bet: BetOnline
One of the unpleasant surprises of the ESL One Road to Rio so far has been mousesports. The otherwise talented squad has failed to deliver so far and there’s no reason to expect something different today. G2 has been strong and 2-0 victory in their favor won’t surprise me.
And yet, mousesports always has the potential to show up and wipe up any opponent with ease, so I prefer the under 2.5 maps option that covers that outcome too. The price of -119 makes that one of the best esports bets today, in my opinion.
Virtus.pro (-1.5) vs. B8
- Game: Dota 2
- Tournament: Pushka League, D1
- Starting time: 10 am Pacific Time
- Odds: -313
- Where to bet: Betway
I usually don’t like to add such short prices to my esports betting picks but this one is worth it. Virtus.pro is in a desperate need for victory today and faces a team that is yet to win a single game in the Pushka League Division 1.
I don’t think that B8 can break the curse on Sunday and VP should be able to win this one without too much resistance.
Team Liquid vs. Yeah Over 2.5
- Game: CS:GO
- Tournament: ESL One Road to Rio, NA
- Starting time: 1 am Pacific Time
- Odds: +235
- Where to bet: 10bet
I’m sure I will raise a few eyebrows with this one but just hear me out. Sure, Liquid is the much better team here and needs a win to keep fighting for the playoffs. And yet, the team has been poor so far and Yeah was far from toothless in most matches.
The Brazilians won a map against their countrymen FURIA and had their moments against both MIBR and BNB.
All the pressure will be on the favorites too, so I believe that the odds of +235 for us to see more than 2.5 maps deserve a place in my esports betting tips for Sunday.
More Esports Betting Tips for Sunday, May 3rd
- Envy to beat BNB; -149
- Flamengo vs. FURIA over 4.5; +181
- MIBR vs. FURIA over 2.5; -110
Before I share my reasoning or the last couple of recommended esports betting tips, let me remind you to keep hunting for better prices. The odds move up and down all day long, so make sure to take a look at what the bookmakers offer. Here are a couple that might be worth your attention.
Let’s get back to the best esports bets for today and another match from ESL One Road to Rio. Envy should be able to beat BNB and that could open the door to the next round. The team has been better so far in the tournament and the price of -149 is good enough for me.
My esports betting tips include one LoL match as well. Flamengo will face FURIA in the CBLOL 2020 Split 1 Playoffs. I expect this one to be epic, as all three games between the two sides in the regular season were close. I won’t be surprised for the match to go all the way, so getting +181 for over 4.5 is good value.
It’s funny how I have similar expectations for another all-Brazilian clash that involves FURIA, this time in CS:GO. The team will face MIBR today and the recent battles between those have been close. Another close fight is on the cards and -110 for over 2.5 maps is more than enough for me.
