Esports Betting Tips for Saturday, June 27th – Today’s Picks and Predictions for CS:GO, Dota 2, and LoL
Like every weekend, this Saturday’s esports schedule offers some mouth-watering ties and the best online bookmakers have them all covered.
There are ongoing tournaments in every region right now and my top esports picks for today feature a look at some of the main events on the CS:GO, Dota 2, and League of Legends scenes.
I start proceedings with the Upper Bracket Final at the Dota Beyond Epic event.
FlyToMoon to Win vs. Virtus.pro
- Game: Dota 2
- Tournament: Beyond Epic EU & CIS
- Starting time: 08:00 AM Pacific Time
- Odds: +101
- Where to bet: SportsBetting.ag
Virtus.pro is coming into the tie as the bookmakers’ favorite but their game has been quite shaky as of late.
They escaped defeat in the last round against OG by the skin of their teeth and will need a much better performance if they don’t want to go down the losers’ bracket today.
FlyToMoon is the lower-ranked team but they won their group at the Beyond Epic tournament and did come close to toppling the Nigma guys who have been the second most dominant force on the European scene during this past month.
I’m surprised to see such high odds for FTM, so I can’t really pass up on them.
If you feel you need more convincing, you can head to my colleague Jerry Summer’s full Virtus.pro vs. FlyToMoon betting preview.
G2 to Win vs. Fnatic
- Game: LoL
- Tournament: LEC Summer 2020
- Starting time: 12:00 Pacific Time
- Odds: -167
- Where to bet: Betway
The teams that contested the LEC Spring 2020 Grand Final will go head-to-head once again today in the Summer edition of the tournament.
Both organizations are among the big favorites to clinch another title here but they have not been in top shape since the start of the event.
They are currently sitting on three wins and three defeats and today’s matchup will probably be a very tense affair.
The teams know each other quite well and I don’t think there will be any surprises.
I’m backing G2 to come away with the win on account of their better execution and the fact that they have beaten Fnatic every single time in their last five meetings.
The odds of -167 are a fair price given the circumstances and are a great option for your accumulators today.
Evil Geniuses to Win vs. Team Liquid
- Game: CS:GO
- Tournament: CS_SUMMIT North America
- Starting time: 12:00 Pacific Time
- Odds: +112
- Where to bet: BetOnline
Another classic encounter between the top American CS:GO outfits awaits us today.
This EG roster has not been very successful against Liquid in the past but they beat them at the BLAST Premier Finals in the last meeting between these two and clinching the title at the event moved them up to 9th in the world rankings.
The team continued with their good form by beating FURIA in the first round of the current CS_SUMMIT competition and players CeRq and Brehze look to be in top shape right now.
Liquid is always dangerous with their experienced captain Stewie2k’s ingenious tactics and the skill of EliGE and NAF. They did clinch a solid win against the wounded MIBR in their last game but I feel they will have much bigger problems against the in-form EG today.
Given all that, the odds of +112 for Stanislaw and his squad are an absolute steal and this might well be the best esports wager you can place today.
More details on the upcoming CS:GO matchup are available in my Team Liquid vs. Evil Geniuses betting preview for Saturday.
More Esports Betting Tips for Saturday, June 27th
Time for the rest of my top esports bets for today. You will find the latest odds and my reasoning below:
- Natus Vincere vs. Virtus.pro Over 2.5; +120
- BIG (-1.5) vs. OG; -115
- 100 Thieves vs. Cloud9 Over 2.5; +100
CIS teams Natus Vincere and Virtus.pro will lock horns at the WePlay! Clutch Island event today.
The organizations will be contesting the Upper Bracket Final of the tournament after both organizations won three of their four fixtures at the event so far.
I believe this tie will be closer than the bookmakers expect and the best option here would be to back a three-round game.
NAVI are obviously the favorites but they seem to drop off a bit in these stages and the lost map against lower-ranked Nemiga yesterday does not bode well for their chances going forward.
On the flip side, captain AdreN’s Virtus.pro team have been quite solid as of late and I’m sure they will give s1mple and his crew a run for their money.
They brushed off today’s opponent with ease at the ESL One: Road to Rio event in May and should feel confident they can compete with them again.
For my penultimate pick, I’m going with a 2:0 win for Germans BIG against their French counterparts OG.
Aleksib’s team hasn’t been able to hit top gear in the most recent tournaments, while BIG has emerged as one of the most dominant forces on the European scene.
In-game leader tabseN, syrson, and XANTARES have been unplayable since the start of June and this has led to five straight 2:0 wins since they secured the 2020 DreamHack Masters title.
There’s no stopping the Germans right now and this should be another top-class display against a struggling OG side.
And last but not least, I’m going with a three-round game between 100 Thieves and Cloud9 in the North American bracket of the CS_SUMMIT event.
Cloud9 emerged victorious the last time around but the matchup was very tight and these teams generally don’t dominate each other when they meet.
The Thieves’ momentum took a hit recently after three straight defeats but their display against Chaos yesterday showcased the quality that this roster has with captain AZR and top marksmen jks and jkaem.
The Cloud boys are in fine form and they will rely once again on their main man floppy to push them over the line but the Australians won’t simply lie down here.
The odds of +100 for the Over 2.5 market are terrific and that’s where the betting value lies for me.
Before you make your final decisions, make sure you’re not compromising with the bookmaker you’re working with.
