Not a lot is happening on the competitive Dota 2 scene right now but we do have quite a few interesting matchups at the ongoing CS:GO and League of Legends tournaments.
Some of those provide great betting value and the purpose of this post on the best esports bets for Saturday is to highlight the best deals and provide my picks based on the prices and the recent form of the involved in the action.
Let’s start off with an early CS:GO matchup at the Malta Vibes Cup.
Time to open up proceedings in Group D of the tournament and the first match pins together Lyngby Vikings against BLUEJAYS International.
The Vikings’ form has been poor as of late and the only highlight has been two wins against Polish minnows PACT.
There have been some heavy losses against Nexus, Gambit Youngsters, and Illuminar which perfectly showcase that this team does not currently have the means to take it to the next level.
On the flip side, their Bulgarian opponent is coming into the tie on the back of three straight wins.
They will surely be locked in today after getting a direct invite for such a big tournament.
The team may not be much higher in the rankings but their lineup includes experienced players dream3r, REDSTAR, and Rock1ng so they should definitely not be underestimated.
They should be able to dominate the struggling Vikings right from the start and I believe the best way to go here is to back the -2.5 handicap line for the favorites and at -112, you have yourself a great deal.
We have another round of the League of Legends European Championship awaiting us today and one of the most highly-anticipated bouts will be contested between G2 Esports and Fnatic.
It’s not exactly the perfect time for Fnatic to meet their old foes as the mood will be very low after failing to beat Rogue yesterday.
The Fnatic boys looked good value to clinch the win but were ultimately outmuscled and are now sitting on a 7-7 record.
G2 has racked up the same number of wins but their recent wins against Rogue and Vitality mean that the momentum should be on their side.
Furthermore, they have won all five of their most recent meetings with Fnatic and I believe 10Bet’s odds of -170 give you a great deal here.

Here are the rest of my top esports picks for today:
Alternate aTTaX (-4.5) vs. Budapest Five; -110
Misfits to win vs. exceL; -140
Germans Alternate aTTax will be taking on Budapest Five in the second opening match of Group D at the Malta Vibes Cup today.
Captain ScrunK and his team won’t be too happy with their results this past week as they lost heavily to lower-ranked Izako Boars and Tikitakan.
However, I believe they have brought back some of the momentum that made them deadly at the beginning of July with solid wins against GamerLegion and Excellency.
These opponents are not exactly at the level that Alternate aTTax aspires to reach but beating them will definitely have a positive effect on the team and they would want to carry this into their opening fixture at the Malta Vibes Week 5.
Furthermore, their opponent’s form was been woeful as of late.
The Hungarians have endured five consecutive defeats including heavy beatings from FATE, ttc, and PACT.
They did put up a fight against the dominant Gambit Youngsters in one of their recent outings, but they won’t be able to get their favorite maps Nuke and Mirage today, as Alternate aTTax will surely wave them.
The team has had quite a few issues with the Best of 1 format, and given this roster’s poor head-to-head record against the Germans, I’m backing ScrunK and his crew to overcome the -4.5 handicap and claim another solid win here.
And for my final prediction today, I have Misfits to beat exceL esports at -140.
The favorites finally got the monkey off their back and registered a very impressive win against SK Gaming yesterday.
The victory propelled them into the playoff spots and this should boost the confidence of the group for today’s matchup.
The exceL boys were on a very positive run but fell to bottom-dwellers Schalke 04 Evolution yesterday which once again confirms that this team can’t be trusted to deliver the level of consistency needed at these events.
On top of that, Misfits have beaten them three times in a row this season and now that the team is back to winning ways, I find it hard to believe they will let go of the momentum.
