Best Esports Tips for Saturday, April 18th

This weekend will be awesome for all esports fans and I can’t wait for some of the matches. There’s the Flashpoint Season 1 Grand Final, the DreamHack qualifiers, the BTS Pro Series, the LoL Championship Series … the list is endless!

That opens the door to many opportunities to make some money, so it’s time for another batch of esports betting tips for CS:GO, Dota 2, and League of Legends. My picks and predictions for the day cover mostly popular tournaments, simply because there are so many of them available.

Evil Geniuses vs. business associates Over 2.5

  • Game: Dota 2
  • Tournament: BTS Pro Series: Americas
  • Starting time: 10 am Pacific Time
  • Odds: +119
  • Where to bet: BetOnline

I’m not sure what happened to Evil Geniuses, but the team lost two matches in a row and looks like the shadow of the juggernaut that destroyed the opposition at the beginning of the BTS Pro Series: Americas.

That’s good news for the tough squad of business associates who must like their chances under the circumstance. I believe this one will be close and we will see a third round, so the price of +119 makes it of the best esports bets on Saturday.

Evil Geniuses (-1.5) vs. FlyQuest

  • Game: League of Legends
  • Tournament: LoL Championship Series Spring Playoffs
  • Starting time: 1 pm Pacific Time
  • Odds: -111
  • Where to bet:

Cloud9 is waiting in the LCS Grand Final and these two must determine who’s going to face the favorite. Evil Geniuses already beat the same opponent in the early round of the playoffs, but FlyQuest edged a strong side like Team SoloMid to stay in the tournament.

It was an epic encounter, but I still feel that winning against Evil Geniuses is an impossible task. In fact, I expect the favorite to cover the -1.5 rounds handicap in this best-of-five match.

HAVU to Beat MAD Lions

  • Game: CS:GO
  • Tournament: Flashpoint Season 1
  • Starting time: 10 am Pacific Time
  • Odds: +139
  • Where to bet:

It’s almost time for the Grand Final of the Flashpoint inaugural season. The unbeaten MIBR is expecting its opponent and I believe this will be HAVU. The team has won two in a row in the loser’s bracket and already beat MAD Lions earlier in the competition.

At the very least, this one is a coin toss, so the odds of +139 for HAVU are one of the best esports bets available on Saturday.

More Esports Betting Tips for April 18th

  • vs. Spirit over 2.5; +102
  • OG (-1.5) vs. FATE; -200
  • CR4ZY (-1.5) vs. FURIA; -192

As you see, I have a couple of more esports betting tips for today. Before I share my reasoning, let me just say that the odds might change every now and then. The best way to stay tuned would be to check what the top esports betting sites offer and the ones below usually have the highest prices.

As for the rest of my esports picks for the day, let’s begin with one match from the DreamHack Closed Qualifier in Europe. I don’t see how or Team Spirit can close the clash in two maps, as the sides are on the same level and even met recently, with VP barely edging the opponent.

The encounter between OG and FATE in the same tournament should be much easier to predict. The Bulgarian squad won a couple of matches in a row in other competitions, but the level of OG can’t compare to the team’s previous opponents. The favorites should be able to close this one with ease.

And finally, let’s take a look at the other BTS Pro Series: Americas match of the day. CR4ZY has been excellent so far, while FURIA is the punching bag of the group. Another defeat is on the cards here and the price of -192 for a clean victory for CR4ZY represents excellent value, in my opinion.
