Best Esports Bets for Friday, May 22, 2020

It has been an interesting week when it comes to the competitive scene in popular esports such as Dota 2 and CS:GO. The action is just starting, though, as we will have a lot of matches in the next several days that include the OGA PIT playoffs and more DreamHack Masters 2020 group stage clashes.

I cover both competitions in my esports betting tips for today, as well as a couple of other smaller tournaments. As always, my goal is to help you get the most value by recognizing the best esports bets available.

MAD Lions vs. BIG Over 2.5

  • Game: CS:GO
  • Tournament: DreamHack Masters 2020, EU
  • Starting time: 8:30 am Pacific Time
  • Odds: -112
  • Where to bet: Betway

MAD Lions should be able to clinch this one but it also has to be said that we haven’t seen the guys in action in a while and don’t have a good idea of what their level is right now.

If you add BIG’s advantage on maps like Inferno, Overpass, and Vertigo, it’s hard to see a clean sweep for the favorite. It should be a close match and I think that both sides will be able to win their map picks, leaving the third map to decide the winner.

You can get the price of -112 for over 2.5 in most places and I believe this is one of the best esports bets on Friday.

OG vs. Team Secret Over 2.5

  • Game: Dota 2
  • Tournament: OGA PIT, EU
  • Starting time: 11:00 am Pacific Time
  • Odds: +127
  • Where to bet: BetOnline

The OGA PIT 2020 Upper Bracket Final takes place on Friday and I feel obliged to include in my esports betting tips for today. Team Secret has been dominating the tournament since day one but we saw a few close matches recently.

Team Liquid had excellent opportunities to win against the favorite and Alliance pushed them to the limit yesterday too. I believe that Secret could lose a game against the improved OG and this clash could easily go to three rounds before a winner is found.

The price of +127 represents great value and I believe this is one of the picks that are worth the risk.

HAVU (-1.5) vs. Endpoint

  • Game: CS:GO
  • Tournament: BLAST Rising
  • Starting time: 9:00 am Pacific Time
  • Odds: +126
  • Where to bet: SportsBetting.ag

The Grand Final of BLAST Rising today should be interesting to watch, but I’m not sure how competitive will it be. HAVU Gaming had a storming start in the group stages of the competition and could afford to take the foot off the gas in the last two games.

As soon the playoffs started, the Finnish side returned to its best and demolished japaleno and ALTERNATE aTTaX to get here. I think that Endpoint might suffer the same fate on Friday. The squad had a good ride, but I believe HAVU has the better players and they will be close to their best today.

More Esports Betting Tips for Friday, May 22nd

  • MIBR vs. Chaos over 2.5; -104
  • FlyToMoon (-1.5) vs HellRaisers; +150
  • NiP to beat Virtus.pro; +119

If you want to get the best out of my esports betting tips for today, you should try to find the best prices possible. The odds will likely move slightly by the time you’re reading this post and it might be in a favorable direction. The following online bookmakers offer high prices, so feel free to check them out.

Let’s get back to the reasoning of my last three esports picks for Friday. There’s one match in the DreamHack Masters, Americas today between MIBR and Chaos. The Brazilians are the favorite, but they were demolished by FURIA, while Chaos surprised Liquid so far in the competition.

The underdog has more than enough arguments to win at least one map, so I’m going for the over 2.5 maps option here. You can find prices just below the +100 mark in most places and that’s a decent wager.

Next in line is the encounter between FlyToMoon and HellRasers for the Parimatch League Season 3. Based on what I’ve seen by the two sides in the past week or so, I feel that FTM should be able to win this match.

The guys looked good in the close defeat against Liquid yesterday and that should be enough against the struggling opponent. Sure, HellRaisers won two in the competition already, but both victories came versus modest squads and FTM is something different.

Finally, I believe that Virtus.pro shouldn’t be the favorite in the OGA PIT clash against Ninjas in Pyjamas. NiP has shown more in the competition so far and this one is a coin toss, at best. That’s why getting +119 for the Ninjas to win is one of the best esports bets you could find today.
