Esports Betting Tips for Friday, June 12th – Today’s Picks and Predictions for CS:GO and Dota 2

Best Esports Bets June 12, 2020

We’re edging closer to an action-packed weekend on the esports scene but first, there are some crucial ties to be decided this Friday.

The BLAST Bounty Hunt event remains at the forefront for the elite Dota 2 forces, while the CS:GO DreamHack Masters division stages three thrilling playoff encounters in its European and North American divisions.

In my best esports bets for today, I take a look at all of these matchups plus a couple more and provide my predictions with the betting markets that carry the best betting value.

Natus Vincere vs. FaZe Over 2.5

  • Game: CS:GO
  • Tournament: DreamHack Masters Europe
  • Starting time: 05:00 AM Pacific Time
  • Odds: -111
  • Where to bet: BetOnline

I start off with the Lower Bracket Round 4 clash between current world ranking leaders Natus Vincere and European organization FaZe Clan.

After surprisingly falling to the losers’ bracket at the first hurdle, both teams improved immensely and wrapped up impressive wins yesterday.

NAVI left MAD Lions breathless with one of their best performances in a while. We’re used to seeing s1mple deliver world-class displays regularly but this was something else.

The Ukrainian superstar finished with 61 kills although MAD Lions only lasted for 21 rounds on Mirage and 23 rounds on Overpass.

Beating FaZe will require the same amount of skill and focus as NiKo’s team will be flying after ousting Ninjas in Pyjamas from the tournament yesterday.

An expert showing on Train limited the Ninjas to single digits in the first round and after failing to wrap up the series on their pick Mirage, the team stood firm and outlasted NiP on Inferno by a 16-11 scoreline.

This is exactly the pick-me-up FaZe needed after getting blown away by BIG in the Upper Bracket and they will be desperate to clinch a spot in tomorrow’s Lower Bracket Final and exact their revenge on the Germans.

The last four encounters between these two teams needed a third map and I feel we’re in for the same scenario again today.

Team Liquid (-1.5) vs. Gen.G

  • Game: CS:GO
  • Tournament: DreamHack Masters North America
  • Starting time: 08:30 AM Pacific Time
  • Odds: +144
  • Where to bet: SportsBetting.ag

After winning the ESL One: Road to Rio title, captain daps and his team have fallen off a cliff.

There have been a few notable performances along the way but their execution is not right at the moment and elite marksmen like koosta, s0m, and BnTeT look like amateur players at times.

There’s always a chance for the Americans to bounce back at some point but their recent record has piled up a lot of negatives on the group and Team Liquid can take full advantage today.

Stewie2K’s team is not exactly on a roll but is in far better shape and key players NAF and EliGE are showing solid form.

With the way Gen.G is performing even on their favorite maps right now, I can easily see Team Liquid scooping this up quickly.

Team Secret(-1.5) vs. OG

  • Game: Dota 2
  • Tournament: BLAST Bounty Hunt
  • Starting time: 10:30 AM Pacific Time
  • Odds: -138
  • Where to bet: 10Bet

The Upper Bracket Final of the BLAST Bounty Hunt will be settled today in a thrilling encounter between Team Secret and OG.

The French organization has done well to reach this stage and were particularly impressive in their last fixture against Alliance. They took full advantage of their opponent’s poor draft strategy and execution, however, they will most likely not get the same chance against Secret.

Captain Puppey and his teammates have been on a roll since falling to the Lower Bracket and they look better than ever right now.

The loss against Alliance definitely spurred on the group and despite losing a map against Nigma, I fully expect another devastating performance from them and the odds of -138 for a 2:0 Secret win are more than fair.

If you want to learn more about why I feel this is the right way to go here, you can read this complete Team Secret vs. OG betting preview.

More Esports Betting Tips for Friday, June 12th

  • Team Nigma vs. Team Liquid; -104
  • BIG (-1.5) vs. Virtus.pro; +115
  • Cloud9 to Win vs. MIBR; +153

Before I share my reasoning for the rest of today’s top esports predictions, I want to turn your attention to how important it is to pick a quality online bookmaker when placing your wagers.

Nowadays, almost every platform on the web offers odds on the main esports events but that doesn’t mean that you get the same level of service everywhere.

Every betting site worth its salt will do the utmost to provide low margins, solid market selections, adequate transaction times, and professional customer service. And they are the ones that usually roll out the juiciest sign-up bonuses and recurring promotions.

If you feel like you haven’t found such a place yet, you can check the list of our recommended esports bookmakers.

They have been put under the microscope by our team of experts and are among the top options for betting on games like CS:GO and Dota 2.

Here are our suggestions below:

Right, I continue my top esports picks with the Lower Bracket Round 2 encounter between NIgma and Liquid at the BLAST Bounty Hunt tournament.

The last series between these two was very close and they are pretty much on the same level right now. I feel Liquid will edge this in the end but am more inclined to back a three-map tie as the Over 2.5 market provides great odds.

Now for my last two CS:GO predictions.

German organization BIG has impressed lately with the highlight being a momentous 2:0 win against FaZe Clan at the DreamHack tournament.

They are currently awaiting either FaZe or NAVI to contest them in the Lower Bracket Final of the tournament but they have to first wrap up their ESL Pro League qualifier against Virtus.pro today.

The Russians beat HAVU Gaming comfortably yesterday but haven’t played a lot of elite teams lately and BIG’s style can catch them off guard early on.

Captain tabseN and his teammates are feeling it right now and the odds for a 2:0 win for the favorite are the best option to go with here.

And for my last pick, I’m going with a Cloud9 win against MIBR. FalleN’s team has definitely improved since dropping meyern and returning to a full Brazilian lineup by bringing in entry fragger trk but they still lack ruthlessness when it matters most.

The Cloud boys don’t look like they’re in their best shape but you never know with these guys. They regularly choke when they are the favorite and I expect the underdog label will give them enough freedom today for floppy, oSee, and motm to make the difference in the kills department.

The odds of +153 are a steal and although MIBR has every chance to smash their opponents, I just can’t miss out on such a price.

More details on this upcoming DreamHack Masters playoff tie are available in my MIBR vs. Cloud9 betting preview for today.
