ENCE vs. Astralis Odds, Prediction, and Pick for May 9th – ESL One: Road to Rio

ENCE vs. Astralis Odds, Prediction, and Pick for May 9th, 2020

Two European teams concluding their Group A involvement at the ESL: Road to Rio event are ENCE and Astralis.

The Danes have been in top form for most of the tournament and currently occupy first place in the group but their Finnish counterparts have been flying as well and this should make for another classic Scandinavian CS:GO derby today.

My ENCE vs. Astralis betting preview for Saturday starts off with the latest odds for the tie and I then move on my team analysis where I provide an overview of the teams’ current form and some key stats.

Be sure to stay until the end, though, as I lay out my betting prediction and a free pick.

ENCE vs. Astralis Odds

The prices below are taken from 10Bet. Let’s see what the betting site has in store for us today:

Winner Full Time

ENCE +330
Astralis -490

Spread Full Time

ENCE  (+1.5) +113
Astralis (-1.5) -141

Over/Under Full Time

Over 2.5 +151
Under 2.5 -190

As always, Astralis is a big favorite but their opponent should not be underestimated as they have brought down some top teams recently.

Time to have a look at how exactly both organizations have been faring lately.

Team ENCE Analysis

The team started their involvement in the ESL One qualifiers with a huge 2:0 win against Fnatic which opened the door for them to effectively pursue a playoff spot and they haven’t disappointed.

They overcame ZywOo’s brilliance with a great collective effort against Vitality and also defeated Dignitas with superb performances on Train and Overpass.

We should also acknowledge their good form at the Elisa Invitation, where they recently dispatched Apeks and handed another beating to Swedes Dignitas.

SuNny and his teammates are firing on all cylinders right now and with a 3-3 record, they will actively seek to secure qualification and have no reason to fear Astralis.

Team Astralis Analysis

The world number one lost a highly-entertaining bout with rivals Fnatic but that game aside, gla1ve and company have been in relentless form.

Vitality, Heretics, and Dignitas were all put to the sword and there was also a good comeback win against the high-flying Ninjas in Pyjamas.

The team has already secured qualification for the upper bracket of the playoffs and will definitely want to end the group proceedings on a high but I feel it won’t be a walk in the park for them.

ENCE vs. Astralis Prediction and Pick

Astralis can beat any team on their day and it does look like players device, Magisk, and Xyp9x are hitting top form right now.

However, ENCE has held its own in past meetings and with the momentum they’ve built, it will be very hard to take them down.

The Danes have already qualified and they tend to experience a drop when the stakes are not high, while the Finnish team will be pumped up to make another statement after gunning down Fnatic at the start of the tournament.

Astralis will probably ban Mirage where ENCE has been brilliant as of late but SuNny and his team also hold great records on Train and Inferno.

I feel we’re in for a surprise here and the odds for the Finnish organization are simply too good to turn down in these circumstances.
