Dinamo Minsk vs. Isloch Betting Preview – Belarusian Premier League, May 17

It is turning into a very disappointing season for Dinamo Minsk this year as last weekend’s defeat made it five for the campaign.

This week, manager Leonid Kuchuk will be hoping that his side can overcome an Isloch team that has continued to surprise many and maintain a much higher position in the league than its hosts on Sunday.

BetOnline is still confident that Dinamo Minsk will transform back into the national powerhouse that it has been in the past. But the results this season have suggested otherwise, and the odds for Isloch to manage a draw — or even better, a victory — look too good to pass up here.

When all the big guns in the Belarusian Premier League were dropping points at the start of the season, Dinamo Minsk’s results didn’t really stand out. The morale-boosting wins in round five and six also made it look as if it had put a patchy start behind it. But testing games against Dynamo Brest and Slutsk have also now ended in defeat, and the crisis is starting to look very real.

Now Isloch visits the Dinamo Stadium for a local derby in which the home side will do very well to end up with even a point. Scoring goals has not been a particular problem for Dinamo, but there have been too many conceded at the same time. So it looks like more anxious times ahead.

Isloch, on the other hand, seems to be enjoying this season immensely. There have been three wins in the last four games, and now one of the smaller clubs in Minsk is pushing for a European place.

There is a slight caveat to Isloch’s success this season, however. Due to the wonder of the fixture computer, six of the eight games have been at home so far. As Isloch plays at FC Minsk’s ground anyway, that might not quite explain its success. But it is noticeable that two of the three defeats have come away from home.

Even taking Isloch’s away form into consideration, I am very tempted to go for a win for the minnows here. Dinamo just hasn’t been at the races this season, and Isloch has already done well against other clubs that have not been playing well. A bet on the draw might be more advisable for those who are looking for a safer selection, but I’m going with the away win for the bigger returns.
