Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleepers For Tuesday, 2/4

Best NBA DFS Sleepers for 2/4 - Donte DiVincenzo and Others to Target

Monday got things started off on the right foot, as basically every player worth using went off. That made it difficult to cash, ironically enough, but if you rolled with my NBA DFS sleepers, you weren’t disappointed.

Alec Burks smashed, Bruce Brown was good for his price and Brad Wanamaker wrecked. Even using just those three options, you could have been well on your way to a solid squad.

Tuesday changes things considerably. We have just four games to work with, yet this tiny slate is loaded with superstars worth paying for.

To get them, we’ll need to save some salary. Hit up the latest odds at the top NBA sportsbooks and join me as I break down Tuesday’s best NBA DFS sleepers and value picks:

Donte DiVincenzo, Bucks – PG ($4.2k)

Usually I only have major interest in the Milwaukee Bucks if I’m paying up for Giannis Antetokounmpo or The Greek Freak is out. However, this slate demands us to take a dive or two and Inferno is getting pretty good run off the bench.

DiVincenzo has a great matchup in front of him and he’s locked into 20+ minutes. You could do worse for your value point guard tonight.

Alternative Point Guard Sleepers For 2/4

  • Malik Monk, Hornets – PG ($4.3k)
  • Dejounte Murray, Spurs – PG ($5k)
  • Monte Morris, Nuggets – PG ($5.9k)

Eric Gordon, Rockets – SG ($5.3k)

Russell Westbrook is doubtful to suit up tonight, which naturally should inflate ownership for James Harden. You can use these guys separately or pair them, but Westbrook being out also helps Eric Gordon.

Gordon blew up for 50 actual points a few games ago, but he’s consistently seeing 30+ minutes and always offers scoring upside. That will certainly be the case tonight at home against a bad Hornets team.

Alternative Shooting Guard Sleepers For 2/4

  • Ben McLemore, Rockets – SG ($3.4k)
  • Gary Harris, Nuggets – SG ($3.8k)
  • Josh Hart, Pelicans – SG ($4.7k)

Trevor Ariza, Blazers – SF ($4.8k)

Portland is being run by Damian Lillard’s insane tear these days, but Thrillard still needs a little help from his Blazers teammates. Ariza is one of them, as he’s safely cleared 32 minutes in four of his five games in Rip City.

Ariza is a pretty safe play at this price, as he can get hot from long range and can also help out on the boards and with steals. The road date with Denver is less than ideal, but I can see him pushing for 40 minutes in this one.

Alternative Small Forward Sleepers For 2/4

  • P.J. Dozier, Nuggets – SF ($3.1k)
  • Gary Trent Jr., Blazers – SF ($3.3k)
  • Kyle Kuzma, Lakers – SF ($4k)

Carmelo Anthony, Blazers – PF ($5.5k)

The only Blazers player I really want to roster is Dame Dolla, but with James Harden also on this slate, I may have to play the ownership game. Where that takes us, we shall see.

Regardless, Portland’s secondary options aren’t total trash. Melo is one of their guys that is too cheap given his scoring upside, while it’s worth noting he gets to return to face the team that originally drafted him.

Melo dropped a cool 40 fantasy points on the Nuggets earlier this year and I wouldn’t be all that shocked if he did so again.

Alternative Power Forward Sleepers For 2/4

  • Juan Hernangomez, Nuggets – PF ($3.1k)
  • Danuel House Jr., Rockets – PF ($5.1k)
  • Miles Bridges, Hornets – PF ($5.3k)

Jerami Grant, Nuggets – C ($5.7k)

Grant isn’t the sexiest play, but the Nuggets are extremely short handed down low these days. Paul Millsap, Mason Plumlee and now Michael Porter Jr. are all sidelined, so the minutes are going to go somewhere.

We’ve seen Grant get all the run he can handle lately and there doesn’t appear to be an end in sight. A plus matchup with Portland only makes him more appealing.

Alternative Center Sleepers For 2/4

  • P.J. Tucker, Rockets – PF ($4.4k)
  • Cody Zeller, Hornets – C ($5.2k)
  • Brook Lopez, Bucks – C ($5.3k)

As noted, this is a very weird slate. There isn’t any staggering value, but there are solid options at just about every turn.

The first question is who the top stud on this slate will be. Based on recent form, it’s tough to fade Damian Lillard. If we take role into account, it’s probably Dame vs. Harden. If you just want the best overall value, you can also look at Nikolas Jokic, King James and The Brow.

You almost surely need one of those studs to have a shot at winning tonight. It’s quite possible you need two.

Pick the right two and fill in the rest of the holes with some of these NBA DFS value picks. Hopefully you make the right calls and win all the money. If it’s too daunting, check out our NBA game picks and just bet on tonight’s games.
