Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleepers For Monday, February 24th

Best NBA DFS Sleepers for 2/24

The NBA has been away for far too long. It’s been especially long for myself, but finally on Monday I am back to dishing out my NBA DFS sleeper picks.

First, be sure to check out the latest lines and game totals at the top NBA betting sites and then jump in with me and see where the value is at for Monday, 2/24:

Kendrick Nunn, Heat – PG ($5.6k)

Jimmy Butler is set to miss a second consecutive game, which makes Nunn one of the top value plays of the slate instantly. He wrecked (46 fantasy points) just two days ago against the same awful Cavaliers team he faces tonight, so there’s little reason to hesitate here.

I can see the appeal of a cheaper punt like DSJ or Milton if they get the starting nod, but Nunn will surely be a staple of my NBA DFS lineups on Monday night.

Alternative Point Guard Sleepers For 2/24

  • Dennis Smith Jr., Knicks – PG ($3.3k)
  • Shake Milton, 76ers – PG ($3.6k)
  • Mike Conley, Jazz – PG ($5.3k)

Josh Richardson, 76ers – SG ($4.8k)

Ben Simmons is another big star that will not be taking the hardwood on Monday night and that should open up some value in Philly. Tobias Harris is also doubtful to suit up.

It may make big man Joel Embiid one of the most appealing studs of the slate, but it also should highlight Josh Richardson as a great play.

Richardson has been cold lately, but he averages a nice 1.05 fantasy points per minute when both of these guys are off the floor, not to mention a sick 27.4% usage rate.

Alternative Shooting Guard Sleepers For 2/24

  • Landry Shamet, Clippers – SG ($4.5k)
  • Alec Burks, 76ers – SG ($4.9k)
  • Seth Curry, Mavericks – SG ($5.4k)

Eric Gordon, Rockets – SF ($3.7k)

I don’t exactly trust a banged up scorer like Gordon, but he’s really cheap and logged 24 minutes in his first game back from an injury. Whether he starts or not, he could be a threat to push for 30 minutes and he always has the green light to hoist.

In a plus matchup with the New York Knicks, I don’t mind flirting with the idea of EG on this slate.

Alternative Small Forward Sleepers For 2/24

  • Joe Harris, Nets – SF ($4.6k)
  • Dillon Brooks, Grizzlies – SF ($4.8k)
  • Duncan Robinson, Heat – SF ($5k)

Marcus Morris Sr., Clippers – PF ($4.9k)

Paul George is another massive NBA superstar that could be out tonight. He’s not doubtful or officially ruled out, though, so there should be at least some hesitance here.

That said, PG-13 can freely sit with a proven scorer in Marcus Morris ready to eat up some extra looks.

Morris averaged over 19 points per game with the Knicks before coming over via trade, so if he’s in for some extra run, he should have a shot at crushing this price tag.

Alternative Power Forward Sleepers For 2/24

  • Ersan Ilyasova, Bucks – PF ($3.5k)
  • Jae Crowder, Heat – PF ($5.1k)
  • Davis Bertans, Wizards – PF ($5.3k)

Robin Lopez, Bucks – C ($3k)

This is a placeholder, as Brook Lopez is officially taking a seat on Monday due to back soreness. We don’t know who the Bucks will start at the five spot yet, but since they’re facing a Washington team with a bunch of bigs, my guess is a true center makes sense.

Brook’s brother is the first guy up at center and he can rebound and do all the dirty work inside. His usage rate and efficiency isn’t off the charts, but he could be looking at a good role tonight and he’s the bare minimum price. That may be enough for me.

Alternative Center Sleepers For 2/24

  • Al Horford, 76ers – C ( $4.5k)
  • Dewayne Dedmon, Hawks – C ($4.8k)
  • Naz Reid, Timberwolves – C ($5.8k)

Hopefully some of these NBA DFS value picks work out and help you build a winning roster. Fortunately, you don’t have to just hitch your wagon to just NBA DFS, though. You can also try your hand at NBA betting.
