Daegu vs. Gangwon Betting Preview With Odds and Pick – K League 1, June 27

After a slow start, Daegu is beginning to show some of the promise of last season and has steadily climbed up the league.
But Gangwon’s season has gone the other way in recent weeks, and one of the more entertaining sides in K League 1 could really do with another win this weekend. Read on for my Daegu vs. Gangwon prediction and betting pick.
Daegu vs. Gangwon Odds
This is another K League 1 game that I could see being more closely priced. But BetOnline seems convinced that Daegu will continue its recent fine form and pick up another three points at the expense of Gangwon this Saturday. I think this one will be a little closer and would be looking at the draw bet as well.
Daegu vs. Gangwon Match Preview
It took a while for Daegu to get going, but there is some momentum built up now by the Sky Blues, and the pre-season predictions of a top-six finish might not be too far off. That wasn’t the case after four games when there were no wins on the board, though.
But even back in those early weeks of the season, Daegu was not losing many games. Some of the opponents seemed very beatable, but there were at least a few points coming in. Now the 3-1 win over Suwon at the weekend makes it four games unbeaten and adds another ten points to the cause.
Gangwon will be worried about Daegu’s recent form, especially considering that Kim Byung-soo’s side has lost its last two games. The “Byung-soo ball” that was being lauded in the opening weeks of the campaign has disappeared as his team has conceded five and scored no goals in the last two games.
There is a “but,” though. Those two defeats have come at the hands of Pohang Steelers and Ulsan Hyundai. The Steelers can look like the best team in the league on its day, and the Horangi has played some wonderful soccer in the first eight games of the season. This should be a very close game, no matter what the odds say.
Prediction and Pick

Gangwon to Win+303
I’m not convinced that Gangwon should be such an underdog here, and although I think it is a bit risky, the odds for the away win are tempting enough for me to back the visitors here. Daegu now looks like it will be able to finish in the top half again, but it might be on the losing side this weekend.
