The whole of the CS:GO community is buzzing right now as the ESL One: Road to Rio kicks off today. We will once again see the elite teams go head-to-head and this means a lot of betting opportunities lie ahead.
One of the first ties to be played sees Danish giants Astralis take on Complexity. Both teams will be disappointed by their recent showings but this matchup provides a great way for them to kickstart a good run.
This Complexity vs. Astralis game betting preview takes a look at the main betting markets for the tie and provides an analysis of both teams. I then wrap up things with my prediction and pick so be sure to stay until the end.
Complexity vs. Astralis Odds
The odds below are taken from 10bet’s sportsbook. Here is what the bookmaker has on offer:

Astralis is one of the best teams on the CS:GO scene so it’s no surprise that they are the favorites here. However, their recent form suggests that they are not exactly invincible and Complexity may prove to be a tough nut to crack.
The team comes into the tournament holding the 23rd world ranking position. They do boast some great individual quality and can be a force on their day but inconsistency means that they often disappoint.
This happened at the most recent event they took part in. The ESL Pro League saw them get solid wins against BIG and North but they blew away leads against Natus Vincere and forZe and eventually exited the tournament early.
This game is a fresh start for them and given how the last match against Astralis went down, blameF and company will fancy their chances today.
The Danes had a very strange ESL Pro League tournament. They started off slow but managed to somehow advance from their group. Then, there were more disappointments with back-to-back losses in their opening fixtures of the second group.
However, the team rallied and showed some of the best play we’ve seen them produce. However, after beating mousesports just a few days earlier, they lost the crucial playoff tie against chrisj and his team.
Captain gla1ve has a huge job ahead of him if he wants his team to reach the top of the rankings since they seem to lose focus when it matters most.
Complexity vs. Astralis Prediction and Pick
The most important thing here is which Astralis will show up. If the Danes show their best, this match will be over before we can blink.
However, given that the team has been inconsistent at the start of recent tournaments, I think this might end up being a very close tie.
The pressure will be on the favorite to produce and Complexity managed to clinch a win the last they met gla1ve and his team.
I definitely like how the Over 2.5 market looks like, so I’m going with it here.
