The CBA has announced a June 20^th return, which could give us another nice outlet when it comes to our lust for sports, much like the KBO has done.

That goes both for entertainment and for betting purposes. With the CBA 2020 season picking back up and few sports to actively wager on, it only makes sense to check in on the league and see how you may want to bet.

The CBA is back this month, and with way too many sports being on hiatus for so long, it’s likely you’ll want to bet on the Chinese Basketball Association.

The above sites are the best options, but no matter where you bet on the CBA in 2020, you’ll want to focus on safety, reliability, and competitive odds.

Bovada is really the only place I am seeing the opportunity to bet on who will win the 2020 CBA title. No matter which way you slice it, though, the latest Chinese Basketball Association odds look fairly inviting.

Guangdong is the heavy favorite after going 28-2 in the regular season. They’re led by MarShon Brooks (28.3 points per game) and put up more points than anyone in the league as a team.

They make sense as the favorite to win, and at -400, you could go hard at them and feel pretty good about it.

That said, -400 is not an amazing price. For the risk you’re taking, you don’t get a huge reward and would admittedly have to bet a ton of cash to get anything back. It’s probably the safe play, but virtually everyone else is on the table.

To gauge the other best CBA bets for the remainder of the 2020 season, let’s check out some of the other top CBA contenders, as well as some 2020 CBA sleepers.

The Southern Tigers are the obvious top contender. Their offense is disgustingly good, as Brooks is an unstoppable force, while Yi Jianlian and Sonny Weems round out a pretty star-studded roster.

Their top challenger appears to be the Flying Tigers, who went 22-7 during the regular season and currently are tied for the second-best CBA odds.

Xinjiang is second in points on the year and is extremely efficient. They’re led by an explosive scorer in Kay Felder.

This team is all about balance, however, as Felder is just one of six players averaging over 16 points per game on the season. It should shock no one to learn they reached the CBA Finals a year ago and have played in two of the last three championship series.

Two other legit contenders are the 20-10 Flying Leopards and the 19-11 Beijing Ducks.

Liaoning offers more betting value (+1400) at Bovada and features O.J. Mayo. The Flying Leopards also won the title two years ago and have reached the CBA Finals three times since 2015.

Beijing is led by Jeremy Lin, has a nice inside/outside attack, and is the better three-point shooting team.

This is a tough league to demand elite betting value from, as you’re honestly already getting it with the top contenders.

The Southern Tigers are the obvious favorites after losing two games all year, so it only makes sense that anyone capable of preventing them from winning will have reasonably good title odds.

That said, we can’t ignore the Eagles (18-11), Lions (19-11), or the Zhejiang Golden Bulls (18-12). I’d mostly focus on the Eagles and Golden Bulls, who rank second and fourth in scoring on the year.

The Golden Bulls also have the third-best perimeter shooting team and feature one of the best scoring duos in the entire league.

It’s arguable none of the 2020 CBA sleepers pack enough punch to dethrone Guangdong, who won last year’s championship.

One huge aspect of the 2020 CBA return that bettors need to consider is that some international players won’t be returning. That, or they may not make it back right away.

Anyone who isn’t currently with the CBA and gearing up for the league’s return would be subject to quarantine. Odds are, if they’re not with the team now, they’re unlikely to take part in the league’s stretch run.

The bad part is we don’t have free access to all of that information just yet. For now, I’d spend much of my efforts looking at the clear favorite (Guangdong) or thinking about betting on teams that have kept a lot of their players in town over the last few months.

Because of this, I do like Beijing as a value pick if you want to go away from the clear favorite. Their players have hung tight and have been practicing together for some time, so they could have an edge in terms of continuity and chemistry that some teams don’t have.

Still, Guangdong is my pick to win the 2020 CBA title.

They have the best offense in the league and lost two games all season. They’re absurdly dominant and have the league’s best trio in Brooks, Weems, and Jianlian.

Guangdong also benefits from the hiatus as much as Beijing — or anyone, for that matter — which understandably also gives them an additional edge as a whole.

This also happens to be the defending champ, as the Southern Tigers have been in the mix for championships for some time now. Guangdong won in 2019 and was runner-up in 2017. They’ll be shooting for their 14^th CBA Finals appearance since 2003.

The Southern Tigers are the safe play here. I know -400 isn’t a great price, but it’s also not too bad considering how amazing they’ve been. They remain the best play at the top basketball betting websites.
