Bujumbura City vs. Bumamuru Odds, Prediction, and Pick – Burundi Premier League, April 5
Ensuring top-flight survival is probably uppermost in the players of both sides here as Bujumbura City and Bumamuru meet in round 27. It has been a disjointed season for both teams, and only two points separate them before this weekend’s fixture.
Bujumbura City will fancy its chances at home, though, especially considering the recent run of good form the side has enjoyed.
You can get my take on this game below in my Bujumbura City vs. Bumamuru betting preview.
Bujumbura City vs. Bumamuru Odds
BetOnline has this one incredibly close, and that is understandable considering the mid-table positions that both sides occupy and the narrow victory for City when they met earlier in the season. Initially, the odds for a draw might be the best value bet going, but let’s take a closer look at both teams’ chances.
There wasn’t much between these two clubs in the Burundi Premier League last year, and this season has been a very similar story, with Bujumbura City just two points ahead of its visitors ahead of this weekend. But it is the home side that has enjoyed the better time of late.
City beat Kayanza United in its last game two weeks ago and is now five games unbeaten. The run of results since the end of January has changed the season around, and the team can probably play knowing that it is just about sure of playing in the top tier again next year.
Bumamuru is in a similar position, but the last few games suggest that there are some nerves among the squad. There have been just three points gained in the last four games — a run of form that has seen the gap in points between itself and the relegation places narrow.
There have been some particularly tough fixtures in that time, including an impressive draw away with top of the table Le Messager Ngozi, but a few more wins in the last four games would definitely help.
Bujumbura City vs. Bumamuru Pick
Bujumbura City to Win+128
Although the price for a draw does look inviting, recent results suggest that Bujumbura City should come away with the points here. The two sides can hardly be separated by their performances throughout the whole season, but the last few weeks have been much better for the capital city club. A win here will do little to push it up the table, but it should make any relegation worries disappear.
