Braun Strowman vs. Bray Wyatt Odds, Prediction, and Betting Pick for Money in the Bank 2020
Braun Strowman will put his Universal Championship belt on the line against Bray Wyatt at WWE Money in the Bank 2020.
Strowman only claimed his first world title at WrestleMania 36 last month, but Wyatt will be desperate to put an end to his rival’s reign at this weekend’s event.
In this post, I check out the odds for the upcoming Universal Championship match and take a look at each fighter. After taking everything into consideration, I’ll also share my pick.
Let’s get stuck into my Braun Strowman vs. Bray Wyatt betting preview.
Braun Strowman vs. Bray Wyatt Betting Odds
Here are the latest odds for Braun Strowman vs. Bray Wyatt.
The best WWE betting sites can’t find anything to separate these two fighters right now. The bookies clearly think this bout could go either way, so it’s likely to be a tight battle.
Braun Strowman to Retain His Title?
Strowman filled in for the absent Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 36 and defeated Goldberg to claim his first-ever world title.
But with WWE seemingly rushing the plans for its recent flagship event, it is widely believed that “The Monster Among Men” will only be a temporary champion.
It’s likely that Strowman will lose his belt to one of SmackDown’s top stars in the not too distant future, but will Bray Wyatt snatch the Universal Championship at Money in the Bank?
As a former member of The Wyatt Family, Strowman will be eager to prove that he’s got what it takes to defeat Bray. There is certainly plenty of history between the pair, so it’s set to be an intriguing bout.
Will Bray Wyatt Snatch the Belt?
While Strowman beat Goldberg at the Show of Shows, Wyatt got the better of WWE legend John Cena in a memorable — and somewhat strange — Firefly Fun House match.
Wyatt didn’t leave it long before going in search of his next challenge. On the first SmackDown after WrestleMania, he set about targeting Strowman and rekindled an old rivalry in the process.
Let’s not forget that it was Wyatt who brought Strowman to WWE. Wyatt gave his old comrade an opportunity to make a name for himself, and he feels that Strowman has betrayed him.
Interestingly, it doesn’t look like Wyatt will be appearing as “The Fiend” at Money in the Bank. He performed as his alter ego at WrestleMania, but that figure looks set to take a back seat for the time being.
Will a change of character impact Wyatt’s chances of defeating Strowman?
Braun Strowman vs. Bray Wyatt Prediction and Pick
This bout definitely comes with an interesting backstory. The two men haven’t seen eye to eye for a while now, so there is clearly a score to settle here.
It’s going to be a hard-fought match. But with The Fiend sitting out of this event, I’m backing Strowman to come out on top.
If Wyatt was appearing as The Fiend at Money in the Bank, then I probably would’ve sided with Bray. WWE has built up The Fiend nicely recently, so the organization will want to protect his status for now.
So, with The Fiend out of the picture, Strowman has an excellent chance to defend his maiden world title.
It’s also highly likely that a Strowman win will set up a future feud between the pair, with The Fiend coming back to gain revenge over his old rival somewhere down the line.
Braun Strowman to win at -120 is my final betting pick for this bout.
