Buffalo Bills Super Bowl 2021

Just two years ago, the Bills were a 6-10 football team with no real plan in sight. Word on the street was that Sean McDermott was on the hot seat.

Fast forward to today, and Buffalo and New England are co-favorites to win the AFC East, and McDermott is being extolled for the job he has done.

With Tom Brady now in the NFC and the roster in Buffalo significantly improved, is it conceivable to think that the Buffalo Bills can win the Super Bowl in 2021?

Let’s see what the bookies have to say.

Bills’ 2021 Super Bowl Odds

  • Bovada +2000
  • MyBookie +2200
  • +2500
  • BetNow +2800

Four of the best online sportsbooks for betting on the NFL, and four different prices. This shows you first-hand why doing your due diligence before placing NFL futures bets is crucial.

Now that we have established that +2800 is the most alluring number we can find, it’s time to determine if the wager is worthwhile. And to do that, you have to ask yourself — can the Buffalo Bills win the 2021 Super Bowl?

Why the Bills Can Win Super Bowl 55

I don’t know about you, but my AFC East prediction in 2020 is that the Bills hoist the division crown. As much of a genius as Bill Belichick is, I’m far from convinced Jarrett Stidham is going to lead New England to the playoffs.

Miami and New York are still works in progress, while the Bills are ready to win games right now.

Winning 10 or 11 in the regular season and emerging out of the East is one thing, but what about advancing in the postseason? Can the Bills win Super Bowl 55?

Josh Allen took a big step in 2020, limiting his turnovers and winning double-digit games, and now he gets a big boost in the form of Stefon Diggs. Allen is nowhere near as polished as Patrick Mahomes, but his arm strength might be right on par.

By the way, the Bills’ offense doesn’t have to light up the scoreboard; they just have to be consistent. Buffalo’s defense ranked 2nd in the NFL in points allowed (16.2) and was one of three NFL teams to surrender fewer than 300 yards per game (New England, San Francisco).

Leslie Frazier’s unit signed Mario Addison and drafted A.J. Epenesa to solidify the edge, while Ed Oliver and Tremaine Edmunds are stalwarts in the interior.

The pieces are no doubt in place for Buffalo to have a special year.

Why the Bills Won’t Win Super Bowl 55

There are lots of obstacles to overcome.

The Chiefs and Ravens are standing in their way, plus they’ve got the top dogs in the NFC to deal with if they wind up in Tampa Bay for the Super Bowl.

We know Sean McDermott’s defense is going to be tough, but can Buffalo score enough points?

The Bills scored 30+ points just twice in 2019, and both of those instances came against the Dolphins.

Earlier, I skated through the idea that the Bills would capture the AFC East, although why should we count out Bill Belichick and the Pats? New England swept Buffalo en route to winning 12 regular-season games, and let’s not pretend the play from Brady wasn’t sketchy in spurts.

This isn’t to say that the Bills winning the SB is completely unattainable. These are simply bits of information to remind fans in Buffalo that a Super Bowl victory in 2021 isn’t how this team should ultimately be judged.

If Josh Allen continues to grow and they end up hosting a playoff game in January, the fan base should be more than content.

Will the Bills Win Super Bowl 55?

The Bills enter the 2020 campaign having never won a Super Bowl in team history. Unfortunately, that statistic is almost certain to hold true for at least another year.

Backing Buffalo to finally knock the Pats off their pedestal is a bet worth your time, but I’d hold off any wagers on the Bills winning Super Bowl 55. It’s okay to make bold predictions and take a shot on some fliers here and there, but you want to be selective.

Betting on the Bills to win the Super Bowl in 2021 isn’t one of those wagers to go for.
