Betting on Who Will Appear in Future Star Wars TV Series

| August 3, 2021 5:21 am PDT

This is a fun time for entertainment fans. Movie theaters are hopping again, big blockbuster movies are out, and endless intriguing projects are being teased.

That’s certainly true for the Star Wars universe over at Disney+, as The Mandalorian is about to have a plethora of accompanying projects.

The Star Wars world is being explored at an insanely high level right now, with numerous Star Wars TV series focusing on smaller characters, or telling fresh stories.

While that is plenty to satisfy even the biggest Star Wars fans, the idea that you can bet on these shows and make money is simply astounding.

The best sites for betting on entertainment have pushed out Star Wars TV show prop bets, and I’m here to hopefully nudge you to some winning bets.

Let’s go over the odds for the main Star Wars betting markets, and come to some predictions.

Which Characters Will Appear in Ahsoka?

  • Sabine Wren (-150)
  • Ezra Bridger (+160)
  • Hera Syndulla (+750)
  • Zeb Orrelios (+750)
  • Chopper (+1000)
  • C-3PO (+2500)
  • Chewbacca (+2500)
  • Han Solo (+2500)
  • R2-D2 (+2500)
  • Luke Skywalker (+5000)
  • Princess Leia (+5000)

There are several upcoming Star Wars TV series to get excited about, but some will rank this pretty high.

If you follow along with The Mandalorian, you already got a look at this character, with Rosario Dawson bringing Ahsoka Tano to life in episode five of season two of The Mandalorian.

Dawson is an amazing actress that is going to crush this role, and per her, it’s been something she’s wanted for some time.

Disney+ was right to have her amazing performance not merely be a tease, as it’s been announced that she’s getting her own spinoff series in Ahsoka.

The question, of course, is who will join her?

Bovada pegs Sabine Wren as the favorite, while Ezra Bridger also comes in with solid odds. Bettors do need to consider that several bets could turn out to be right, and the favorite may not always be the bet to pursue.

Another important piece of information is the setting, as the Ahsoka series is said to take place at the same time as The Mandalorian. That logic checks out, seeing as Dawson’s character was just seen in season two.

Wren and Bridger both fit with the timeline, although neither appeared in The Mandalorian.

Of course, die hard fans of Star Wars know that Bridger disappeared at one point, and Wren team up to find her.

I think both characters will appear in Ahsoka, but I’d rather take the value with Bridger at +160.

There is merit in betting on Luke or Leia showing up, and just for fun, I love the high upside bets. However, for “strong” bets when predicting which characters will appear in Ahsoka, Bridger looks like the best bet to me.

  • Ezra Bridger

Betting on Characters to Be Seen in Andor

  • Saw Gerrera (+150)
  • Bail Organa (+200)
  • Chirrut Imwe (+800)
  • Jyn Erso (+800)
  • Princess Leia (+1000)
  • C-3PO (+2500)
  • Chewbacca (+2500)
  • Han Solo (+2500)
  • R2-D2 (+2500)

This Star Wars spinoff details the adventures of Cassian Andor, and this tale will occur prior to the events of Rogue One. They kind of have to, for obvious reasons.

Andor still has a lot of story to tell leading into the Rebellion, and you can bet on who will appear in this series.

Diego Luna reprises his same role from Rogue One, and he’s excited to detail the steps that got Andor to his unfortunate end.

“It is really cool to tell a story where you already know the ending. It is a different approach, because it’s how things happen. It’s not just what happens.”

Felicity Jones played Jyn Erso alongside Luna in the movie, but she isn’t publicly attached to this project. It’s possible that role is simply recast and handed to someone like Adria Arjona, who is in the series, but her role is unknown.

Of course, the best bet has to be Saw Gerrera. He’s been part of the resistance for even longer than Andor, and he also shared the screen with him in the feature film.

There have been whispers that Forest Whitaker will reprise that role, and with the direct ties to Cassian Andor, I like taking a shot at +150.

  • Saw Gerrera

Which Characters Will Be in Obi-Wan Kenobi?

  • Boba Fett (+125)
  • Jabba the Hutt (+190)
  • Yoda (+325)
  • Qui Gon Jinn (+350)
  • Luke Skywalker (+500)
  • Chewbacca (+1600)
  • Han Solo (+1600)
  • Princess Leia (+2000)

Some of the most exciting news is that there will be an Obi-Wan Kenobi series, and that Ewan McGregor will be reprising his old role.

McGregor is known for playing Obi-Wan in the Star Wars prequel films. While those movies didn’t really deliver for a lot of fans of the franchise, many still appreciated McGregor’s efforts.

He returns 10 years after facing fallen friend Anakin Skywalker, who was played by Hayden Christensen. The former is also back for this series, setting up a legendary showcase as he gives us a refreshing spin on Darth Vader in a TV series.

Given the timeline, just about everyone listed here is on the table.

Yoda could appear in a flashback or communicate using The Force, while Jabba the Hutt could be a great character that helps bridge the prequels with the original trilogy.

Of course, the most logical choice has to be Boba Fett. Not only is the legendary bounty hunter getting his own Star Wars TV series, but he’s run into Obi-Wan before.

Based on that, the favorable odds, and the incentive for cross-promotion across these series, Fett looks like the play here.

  • Boba Fett

Betting on Characters to Be Seen in The Book of Boba Fett

  • Dengar (+150)
  • Cad Bane (+250)
  • Chewbacca (+500)
  • Han Solo (+500)
  • Lando Calrissian (+500)
  • Bossk (+800)
  • Aurra Sing (+1000)
  • Greedo (+2000)
  • Luke Skywalker (+2500)
  • Princess Leia (+2500)

Speaking of Boba Fett, he’s getting his own Star Wars TV series, too. The Star Wars spinoff shows know no bounds, and to be fair, there is just so much story to tell.

Just as important, a lot of these characters have a ton of personality and depth worth exploring, and Fett is one of them.

While I think he’s a great bet to show up in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, here you can consider betting on who will appear in his show.

I’d imagine Timothy Olyphant’s Cobb Vanth is a pretty good bet to show up here, while we already know Fennec Sand is going to play a key role.

From there, it’s anyone’s guess.

Dengar leads the way with +150 odds, as he’s another well-known Star Wars bounty hunter. I think that’s an easy one to target, but we can do better than that in terms of value.

That leads me to Bossk, who is yet another famed bounty hunter in this universe. He has a direct connection to Fett, and Star Wars fans would love to see him show up.

Whether Fett recruits Bossk, merely sees him in passing, or even becomes rivals with him for some reasons, he makes a lot of sense at this awesome price.

Who Will Be in The Mandalorian Season 3?

  • Ahsoka Tano (+250)
  • Cad Bane (+250)
  • Darth Maul (+250)
  • Chewbacca (+800)
  • Grand Admiral Thrawn (+800)
  • Han Solo (+800)
  • Lando Calrissian (+800)
  • Luke Skywalker (+800)
  • Princess Leia (+2000)
  • Cara Dune (+2500)

Lastly, you can also bet on who will be in The Mandalorian season three. It was unclear where the show was headed at the end of season two, but a third season is officially coming.

That gives way to speculation as to where the story goes, and who will show up in the third season.

I will say that Cara Dune stands out at that gaudy +2500 price. Gina Carano was bounced from the show for insensitivity online, and it’s always possible the show decides to bring the character back with a new actress.

That doesn’t appear to be the plan, however, with the studio suggesting the role will not be recast moving forward.

Bettors can still seek value via classic characters like Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Han Solo. The one that stands out there is undeniably Luke Skywalker, as he’s already made an appearance in the series.

As for the favorites, I don’t know how necessary a big role for Ahsoka will be, considering Dawson has her own stage in the franchise now. Of course, she also has been in the series already, and Disney+ would be wise to cross-promote as much as possible.

To be frank, I see a lot of options here, but the best value seems to be Grand Admiral Thrawn.

He comes in at a nice +800 price for a guy that is still out there, waiting to strike.

There are several bets to be made here. Luke appearing again is a fine try, while Ahsoka would be logical, and Darth Maul would simply be awesome. Maybe they all show up, but Grand Admiral Thrawn at +800 is a little too good for me to pass up.

  • Grand Admiral Thrawn

Betting on Star Wars TV Series Props

The beauty with these Star Wars TV series props is that you can pick several options and not be wrong.

I think in an effort to simply make some money, though, I’d either target the logical favorites, or aim high sparingly.

There are absolutely some fun values like Grand Admiral Thrawn, and of course you can bet on tried and true options like R2-D2, C-3PO, Luke, Leie, Han Solo, and others.

I think the top entertainment betting sites have priced the favorites quite well. As in, I tend to think the majority of the favorites are probably going to show up in these shows.

If I had to pick one bet that feels the best when trying to predict who will appear in the upcoming Star Wars TV series, Ezra Bridger at +160 looks the best to me.
