Betting on Which Characters Appear in Future Marvel Movies
It’s Marvel betting season. The launch of Phase 4 is alive and well, as Black Widow hit theaters recently, and the MCU has already pushed out three (awesome) TV series.
Loki season one just wrapped up, and there’s so much more coming our way. The top entertainment betting sites are very aware of this, as you can tap into your superhero fandom even more with a plethora of fun Marvel Cinematic Universe prop bets.
The props mostly ask which characters will appear in upcoming Marvel films and series, and I’ve corralled the best ones.
Let’s go over the props, their odds, and the bet that stands out the most for each one.
Which Character Will Appear in Dr. Strange 2?
Bovada is the main site to check out for all Marvel movie prop bets, and most of them deal with betting on which characters will appear in upcoming films.
This one pertains to the Dr. Strange sequel, Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This movie already includes big characters such as Scarlet Witch and Wong, while Loki has been rumored to be in the upcoming flick.
It’s likely there’s another well-known character or two that could show up, and that gives comic book fans something fun to bet on.
There are a few other interesting bets available to you (Captain America at +3000 stands out), but the options listed above make the most sense.
Ant-Man stands out as the +150 favorite, largely because the multiverse has been brought up in that character’s films in the past.
This quote from Marvel boss Kevin Feige stands out in particular.
Dr. Strange 2 literally has multiverse in the title, and Feige pointed out that the sequel will “directly” explore that at a higher level.
Things were blown up at the end of Loki season one, too, so it’s quite clear a brand-new can of worms has been opened.
What that means as far as who will appear in Dr. Strange 2 is open for debate, but I’d imagine literally everyone is on the table. However, it pays to connect the dots and Ant-Man is arguably the most closely affiliated with the subject matter at hand.
If you want to aim higher, you could make a case for basically anyone here. Given the fact that she’s technically “out” of the MCU, Black Widow (+1200) is a nice punt that could be easy for the studios to cram back in with an altered timeline.
- My Pick: Ant-Man (+150)
Which Character Will Appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home
This is probably a less difficult Marvel prop to figure out, as the new Spider-Man movie has also not so quietly hinted at exploring the multiverse.
Spider-Man: No Way Home already features the title character, Dr. Strange, and the return of Alfred Molina’s Doc Oc.
The theory that this film could deal with the multiverse and include past iterations of Spidey (namely Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire) has been broached, debunked, and theorized again.
As things stand, it isn’t what is happening, but studios and actors have lied to keep massive secrets before. Remember when Game of Thrones star Kit Harrington took interviews for a year professing that Jon Snow was dead?
Yeah, we can’t trust anyone.
The beauty of this bet is it probably doesn’t matter. Whether this film deals with the multiverse or not, there have been whispers that Willem Dafoe will be back (in some capacity) as the Green Goblin.
He hasn’t denied the suggestion that he’s in the film, either.
Again, that isn’t confirmed, and I’d have to imagine bringing him back would ignite the multiverse theory, but where there is smoke, there is often fire.
There has also been talk about Venom and Daredevil, while Mysterio was featured in the most recent Spider-Man film. All those options are on the table, but given the reports, Dafoe’s Green Goblin makes the most sense here.
- My Pick: Green Goblin (-100)
Who Will Appear in The Eternals?
I will freely admit I have followed everything leading up to The Eternals far less than most of the other upcoming MCU projects.
This is still a very interesting Marvel film, though, as big names like Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Richard Madden, and Kit Harrington are among the all-star cast.
There’s even the amazing transformation of Kumail Nanjiani, who plays Kingo.

Of course, these are all the characters we know of. The question at hand is which characters will appear in The Eternals that we don’t know about?
If you follow the story, the Eternals are heroes from our past, who helped shape civilization. This means we could absolutely get other members of the Eternals like Zuras or Domo.
It’s a bit surprising they’re not already in the cast, to be frank, so I would imagine at least one of them would at least be showcased briefly.
There’s also the possibility these ancient heroes could deal with a familiar foe such as Thanos, but it’s Kro that is supposedly the main bad guy for this film.
Because of that, I think the oddsmakers have it right here; I’d be putting my money on Zuras, Domo, or both.
Zuras was one of the original Eternals, and he dealt directly with the Deviants (who were led by rumored main villain Kro), so he looks like the pick.
- My Pick: Zuras (+175)
Who Will Appear in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever?
These other Marvel movies are set up to be awesome, but is there a more anticipated MCU flick than Black Panther 2?
It is extremely unfortunate that the late Chadwick Boseman couldn’t continue portraying a character he played so perfectly, but the Wakanda world is one to behold.
Black Panther 2 still brings back an important story, as well as a bevy of amazing characters. It will be interesting to see who takes over the Black Panther role, and you can even bet on that.
There is apparently another way to bet on Black Panther 2, though, and that’s hopefully to correctly predict who else will be in the sequel.
Not much is known about Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, but the main idea will be three-fold; further exploring this amazing world, replacing Boseman to some degree, and proceeding with a new villain in place.
Namor the Sub-Mariner presently is favored to show up in Black Panther 2, with many assuming Tenoch Huerta (currently in the cast, but role unannounced) will play the role.
I wouldn’t rule out Baron Zemo, either. He made an appearance in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Bucky Barnes’ ties to Wakanda honestly put both characters in play.
The two value bets that really stand out are T’Challa and Killmonger. Provided these bets would still qualify via flashbacks, both are on the table.
I’d really put the onus on T’Challa here. Chadwick Boseman was this character and having some type of flashback or funeral for the lead character would be pretty fitting.
That said, the casting of Huerta and the whispers about Namor make him a very good bet. Consider the others I mentioned, but the focus should be on Namor.
- My Pick: Namor the Sub-Mariner (EVEN)
Which Character Will Appear in Thor: Love and Thunder?
The other Marvel Cinematic Universe prop that can make you money is this wager asking if Loki will appear in Thor: Love and Thunder.
Right off the bat, I’d say “sure, why not?” because Loki is attached at the hip to Thor, and he was featured in Thor: Ragnarok. Which, by the way, is easily the funniest MCU movie ever made.
Loki is really getting around these days. Loki season one just wrapped up, Tom Hiddleston’s devious God will also be in Dr. Strange 2, and I simply wouldn’t doubt he at least shows up briefly in this film.
Beta Ray Bill stands out to me. He’s one of the few comic book characters known to be “worthy” of holding Thor’s hammer. The two battled in the past, but eventually fought together.
That could be a nice storyline for the entire movie, or a set-up against a greater villain. Either way, now could be a pretty great time to introduce this character, and I like the +250 price.
Hulk also showed up in Thor: Ragnarok, and Odin did as well. Both are fine value bets, but there’s no guarantee (or direct necessity) that says they’ll be in this movie.
I’ve gone with mostly favorites in my Marvel prop bets breakdown, and I do think Loki is the best overall bet. However, there is a storyline in Thor: Love and Thunder that features actors (in the film) portraying Thor, Loki, and Odin.
What that means is unclear, but it could mean a cameo from Loki is less necessary this time around. Beta Ray Bill would be a fun addition to the Thor franchise, and I like the price, so I like that bet a bit more.
- My Pick: Beta Ray Bill (+250)
Betting on Superhero Movie Props
The Marvel prop bets I broke down are not the only wagers dealing with superhero movies that exist.
There are a couple additional options associated with MCU flick Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, while you can bet on Black Panther 2, the next Superman, and so much more.
I haven’t covered the Shang-Chi props, but you should be able to find the pricing at Bovada. That’s really the go-go site for these superhero props in general, too.
That said, I have also detailed a few other bets that make plenty of sense, and in a few areas, it may pay to aim a bit higher. Of course, some of these Marvel movie prop bets deserve multiple wagers, as well.
This is an exciting time for MCU and comic book fans in general. Hopefully the movies and series continue to impress, and ideally you make a little extra cash in the process.
