Betting on LEC 2021 Spring – Odds, Likely Winners, and Prediction
It’s time for the biggest LoL leagues to begin their 2021 Spring season, and the European Championship is one of the first. LEC 2021 starts in January, and the ten best teams on the continent will fight for the title. They’ll also be looking to boost their chances of qualifying for this year’s Worlds.
The early odds of the online sportsbooks are already up, and that’s a good reason for me to share my thoughts on the top contenders in this LEC 2021 Spring betting preview.
The post also includes recommended betting sites for the competition and key information about the format.

On top of their efforts, the bookmakers have installed the latest security measures and boast a strong reputation.
All of the top LEC 2021 Spring betting sites offer plenty of LoL bonuses and some of the highest odds available on the internet, so the value you get is pretty much the best available on the web.

LEC 2021 Spring Early Winner Odds
Europe’s League of Legends powerhouse G2 is leading the way, and I don’t think that anyone will be surprised by the latest LEC 2021 odds. The team has been dominating the region and has multiple trophies to its name.
The betting sites view Fnatic, Rogue, and MAD Lions as the other teams with a realistic chance to land the trophy, and that’s to be expected as well. They have been the closest to G2 in 2020 and should be eager to challenge this year.
The rest of the field is way off the favorites, and it would be a wonder if the other six squads come even close to the main favorites. I share my thoughts on the leading LoL contenders and whether you should bet on the LEC 2021 Spring so early later in this post.
More About Lol European Championship 2021 Spring
Before I move on to my thoughts on the top contenders, let’s talk about the format of the competition. We didn’t know for sure what to expect when LEC 2021 Spring was announced back in December, but we have more clarity now.
i hope you find what you want under the tree— LEC (@LEC) December 23, 2020
🎁LEC Spring 2021🎁
The format will be similar to last year and includes ten teams, as you can see from the early LEC 2021 Spring odds above.
In the first stage of the competition, they will face each other in a double round-robin system, and each clash will be in the best-of-one format. The first fixtures are on January 22, and we don’t know for sure when the last round will take place yet.
When the initial phase is completed, the best six teams progress to the LEC Playoffs. The top four will start the knockouts from the winners’ bracket, while the last two go to the loser’s bracket.
All clashes in the playoffs are in the best-of-five format, and the winners of the two brackets meet each other in the final.
You can watch all matches from the competition for free via the official LEC Twitch channel. The organization will likely stream them on YouTube as well.
Analysis of the Top Contenders and Prediction
You now know the main facts, so it’s time to move to my LEC 2021 Spring predictions and analysis of the top contenders. I believe that four teams have the chance to win the crown, so let’s check them out and see if wagering is worth it at this point.
The early LEC 2021 Spring odds favor G2 Esports, and that’s only natural when we talk about the squad that won the last four editions of the tournament.
In fact, G2 has dominated the European LoL scene since 2016, and only Fnatic managed to break the streak in 2018.
The roster of the favorites is mostly unchanged, and they will once again rely on familiar faces like Jankos, Wunder, Caps, and Mykix. The big new name is Rekkles, who G2 stole from their main rival Fnatic.
Many were shocked by this move, but the reality is that playing for G2 is a dream for any LoL pro in Europe. With Rekkles on board, the team should be even stronger.
Even if the guys need some time to gel, they should be a powerhouse in the knockouts and remain the LEC 2021 Spring most likely winner.
I’m sure that Fnatic will be eager to dethrone G2 Esports, especially after losing Rekkles. The team’s chances received a big boost when Hylissang’s contract was extended for another year.
The support will have a new partner in the bot lane. Upset was signed to replace Rekkles, and Nisqy also joined as the team’s mid-player.
If you add Bwipo and Selfmade, the talent is obviously there. The big question is if Fnatic will manage to find their rhythm in the LEC Spring 2021. I have my doubts about that, so I wouldn’t back the team to go all the way so early.
Another team that went through a lot of changes after the end of last season is Rogue. After a strong performance in LEC 2020 Summer, the squad failed to impress in the Worlds, and the management decided to try a new lineup.
Trymbi was given the chance to showcase his talents at the highest level for the first time in his career, and Odoamne arrived to take the role of Rogue’s top laner.
I have my doubts about this roster, and I don’t see how it could stop G2 or even Fnatic. And yet, I will be interested to see how Rogue develops this year.
Another exciting team that should be entertaining in 2021 is the MAD Lions. The Spanish side had a young and talented roster that had some good moments in the previous campaign but ultimately failed to deliver at the highest stage.
The organization released Orome and Shad0w as a result, replacing them with Armut and Elyoya.
Both players had a strong 2020 season, so MAD Lions expect big things from them.
LEC 2021 Spring Prediction
It’s close to impossible to go against G2 Esports here. The team has the quality and experience to retain the crown, while the main rivals had to go through too many changes. Integrating two new members to the roster successfully takes time, so I don’t think they can stop G2.
Whether you should go for the team when betting on the LEC 2021 Spring is another story, though. The early odds are rather short, and I expect some complacency from the favorites, so I might be inclined to wait for a better opportunity in the near future.
Gambling cash on any other side right now seems like a bad idea as well, so I would probably abstain from any wagers.
