Best LeBron James Prop Bets for the NBA Restart – PPG and More

Best LeBron James Prop Bets for the NBA Restart

While some NBA players spent their quarantine playing video games and catching up on Netflix, LeBron James hit the gym and now is looking like Kimbo Slice. Talk about a man on a mission to win his fourth ring, LeBron realizes the sense of urgency that is upon him.

At age 35, King James is miraculously playing as efficiently as he ever has. The problem is who knows what this roster could look like next season if Anthony Davis decides to bolt to Chicago.

Taking everything into account, I suspect LBJ leaves everything out on the court in Orlando when the restart is upon us. There are a couple of LeBron James props that encourage us to watch the master go to work.

Let’s dive in.

LeBron James Scoring Prop

Over 26.5 PPG-120
Under 26.5 PPG-120

2019/2020 PPG: 25.7

Career PPG: 27.1

When I mentioned LeBron James leaving everything out on the court, that could very well mean taking matters into his own hands. The NBA assists/game leader won’t suddenly transform into a selfish player, although a few erratic shots are to be expected. However, I could certainly see an uptick regarding the number of field goals James attempts per game.

AD supplies close to 27 points a night, but the Lakers roster is depleted of individuals who can create their own shot and be relied on for consistent scoring. Kyle Kuzma is the only other member of the Purple and Gold averaging double figures (12.5 PPG), but his 43% clip from the floor tells me he’s not exactly someone LeBron is going to trust in the playoffs.

Once July 31st arrives, I envision a more aggressive LeBron who gets to the hoop at will. Look for him to rack up easy buckets and lots of free throw attempts.

Add it all up, and it should amount to more than 26.5 points per game.

LeBron James Rebounds Prop

Over 8 RPG-120
Under 8 RPG-120

2019/2020 RPG: 7.9

Career RPG: 7.4

Without tons of dependable play from the point guard position, LeBron James may find himself handling the rock on the perimeter more often than not once the postseason games get underway.

Frank Vogel needs to find minutes for Dwight Howard and JaVale McGee in the post, plus there are speculations that the Lakers could bring back DeMarcus Cousins. Anthony Davis is the team’s leader for rebounding, and Kyle Kuzma plays most of his minutes at “the 4.”

The more important these games get, the more I see LeBron’s role as a facilitator and responsibility as a scorer taking the forefront. Los Angeles has plenty of big bodies who can crash the glass and feed the ball to LeBron in transition — the place where his game excels beyond measure.

James is going to get his hands on plenty of rebounds, but there seems to be more value associated with him averaging fewer than eight boards per game.
