Best Esports Picks for April 14

The esports schedule continues with a bunch of exciting tournaments on Tuesday, April 14th. Flashpoint Season 1 is about to reach its climax, while the BTS Pro Series: Americas and ESL One Los Angeles are just warming up.

I cover all three competitions in my daily post of the best esports bets, as well as a couple of more CS:GO and Dota 2 matches. My esports betting tips and picks for today all include the reasoning for my selection.

Although I’ve included some of the betting sites where I’ve found my recommended bets, it’s often worth shopping around to try to find the best possible prices. Here are some sites you could check. (-1.5) vs. B8

  • Game: Dota 2
  • Tournament: ESL One Los Angeles, EU and CIS
  • Starting time: 11 am Pacific Time
  • Odds: -110
  • Where to bet: BetOnline

The start of B8 in the ESL One Los Angeles included a lot of fight that seemed to be gone in the past two matches. That’s bad news against a strong opponent like, so I believe that the favorite should be able to close this clash without losing any games.

You can learn more about the first of my esports picks for the day by reading my complete vs. B8 betting preview.

Thunder Predator to Beat CR4ZY

  • Game: Dota 2
  • Tournament: BTS Pro Series: Americas
  • Starting time: 4 pm Pacific Time
  • Odds: -125
  • Where to bet: Betway

The performance of Thunder Predator in the BTS Pro Series so far leaves no doubt in my mind that this is the favorite in today’s clash. A victory here would be enough to guarantee a place in the next stage and TP has been better and better after every match so far.

CR4ZY is a decent side that should beat the weaker teams in the group, but I don’t think it’s on the same level as Thunder Predator right now.

HAVU vs. Cloud9 Over 2.5

  • Game: CS:GO
  • Tournament: Flashpoint Season 1
  • Starting time: 1 pm Pacific Time
  • Odds: -139
  • Where to bet:

I believe that HAVU has shown a lot more so far in the tournament and should be able to edge Cloud9 rather comfortably, without losing a map. That’s exactly what happened in the group stages and I don’t think the Americans will be much better today.

And yet, instead of going after the -1.5 maps advantage, I prefer the safer route that also covers a surprise by Cloud9 here. The price of -139 for under 2.5 maps is good enough and the HAVU vs. Cloud9 prediction of my colleague Elias Wagner is similar.

More Esports Betting Picks for April 14th

  • MAD Lions vs. MIBR over 2.5 +100
  • Prodigy (-1.5) vs. FlyToMoon 2.0 -128
  • Quincy Crew (-1.5) vs. business associates +126

The rest of my recommended esports picks for Tuesday start with the Upper Bracket Final of Flashpoint Season 1. Both MAD Lions and MIBR are yet to lose a match in the entire tournament.

The Brazilians struggled on a couple of occasions, but they are still here and we saw that MAD Lions are not invincible in the match against Cloud9. I don’t see how any of the sides can clean this up in only two maps, so the over 2.5 option is the best bet.

Next in line is a clash from the Parimatch League Season 2 Relegation. The academy team of is a huge favorite against FlyToMoon 2.0 and for a good reason. VP.Prodigy is much better in both drafting and execution, so I expect a clean sweep and the odds of -128 are more than enough to take the wager.

The last of my top esports betting tips for April 14th is for the other match from BTS Pro Series: Americas. Quincy Crew starts the tournament knowing that a couple of other teams already registered several victories and the match against business associates might be crucial. That’s why I expect to see the best by the favorite and a clean victory here.
