Best Esports Bets for Thursday, April 9th – Today’s Top Tips and Picks for CS:GO, LoL, and Dota 2
We will see the return of Flashpoint Season 1 and ESL Pro League Season 11, NA on Thursday, April 9, alongside a bunch of other popular competitions in CS:GO, Dota2, and League of Legends. That opens the door to plenty of exciting betting opportunities.
I share my top esports tips and picks for today here, alongside odds and reasoning for each. These are the best esports bets I’ve found.
Natus Vincere to Beat Fnatic
- Game: CS:GO
- Tournament: ESL Pro League Season 11, Europe
- Starting time: 9:25 am Pacific Time
- Odds: -141
- Where to bet: BetOnline
One of the hottest CS:GO matches is the first on my list of recommended bets for the day. Natus Vincere will face Fnatic in a clash that will be crucial for the first spot in the ESL Pro League, EU standings. Both sides have won three and lost one so far, going through many tough moments.
Na’Vi won comfortably against the same opponent in the previous stage of the competition and the morale of the team will be high after the dramatic victory over FaZe Clan yesterday. It seems like the rest of the squad has provided s1mple with enough support and that will be a problem for Fnatic.
You can learn more about this match from the extended Na’Vi vs. Fnatic betting preview of my colleague Elias Wagner.
Team Secret (-1.5) vs. Natus Vincere
- Game: Dota 2
- Tournament: ESL One Los Angeles
- Starting time: 6 am Pacific Time
- Odds: -134
- Where to bet: Betway
Natus Vincere’s CS:GO team should win today, but the organization’s Dota 2 division will be in a lot of trouble. The squad will face Team Secret and that’s a death sentence right now. The performance of the side has been out of this world and I honestly don’t see how Na’Vi can win even a single map here.
The execution of Secret is so good all across the board that you can’t really expect anything else but a clean victory here and the price of -134 for the favorite to cover the -1.5 maps advantage is excellent.
MIBR to Beat FURIA
- Game: CS:GO
- Tournament: ESL Pro League Season 11, North America
- Starting time: 1 pm Pacific Time
- Odds: +140
- Where to bet: SportsBetting.ag
The all-Brazilian clash in ESL Pro League Season 11 today should be really interesting. Most people expect a victory for FURIA, but I believe the value lies in the odds for MIBR. The team has stepped up recently and fer is leading the way expertly.
It’s going to be a close match, but +140 for MIBR is too good and certainly one of the best esports picks today. I share more arguments on why in my detailed FURIA vs. MIBR prediction.
More Esports Tips and Pick for Today
- Astralis vs. mousesports over 2.5 +105
- Dignitas Academy vs. Evil Geniuses Academy over 4.5 +182
- MAD Lions (-1.5) vs. FunPlus Phoenix -128
I have more esports tips for today and the first one is once again for an ESL Pro League Season 11 match. Astralis and mousesports meet in a clash that will decide their faith in the tournament. I wouldn’t dare to predict who’s going to win this one, but I believe that the price of +105 for over 2.5 maps is excellent.
Both sides should be able to win at least one map and you can read more on this topic in this Astralis vs. mousesports analysis.
Next in line is one of the semifinals in the League of Legends NA Academy. The development teams of Dignitas and Evil Geniuses will be fighting for a spot in the final and I expect a close match here. Both sides have been strong recently and they already tied the games in the regular season, so the over 4.5 option available for +182 looks good.
The last of my esports tips for today is to back MAD Lions versus FunPlus Phoenix. The favorite has been much stronger so far and already beat the same opponent comfortably. Another clean victory is one the cards here and the price of -128 is more than enough to give it a shot.
