Bayley vs. Tamina Odds, Prediction, and Betting Pick for Money in the Bank 2020
Bayley will be hoping to defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship title this weekend when she comes up against Tamina at WWE Money in the Bank.
The pair faced each other in a five-way elimination match at WrestleMania 36, with Bayley coming out on top. But can Tamina overcome the reigning champion in a singles bout?
In this Bayley vs. Tamina betting preview, I look at the odds and assess each fighters’ chances before sharing my pick.
Let’s begin by seeing what the bookies think of this match.
Bayley vs. Tamina Betting Odds
Here are the latest odds that the top-rated WWE betting sites have provided for Bayley vs. Tamina.
As you can see, Bayley is the bookmakers’ clear favorite to win this bout, and it’s difficult to argue with their viewpoint. Bayley has looked unbeatable recently, so Tamina is deserving of the underdog status here.
Will Bayley Defend Her Crown?
It came as little surprise when Bayley retained her SmackDown Women’s Championship title at WrestleMania 36.
The reigning champion — who has held onto her belt since October — saw off Sasha Banks, Lacey Evans, Naomi, and Tamina in a five-way elimination match at April’s event, and she’ll now go one-on-one with Tamina at Money in the Bank.
It’s safe to say that plenty of SmackDown fans are getting bored of Bayley’s recent domination of the blue brand, but it’s difficult to imagine her supremacy coming to an end anytime soon.
Bayley has been at the top of her game over the past few months, so Tamina isn’t likely to cause her too many problems.
Can Tamina Steal the Title?
Tamina was the first to be eliminated in the five-way WrestleMania bout, but she can count herself pretty unlucky. The other four fighters purposefully ganged up on her, and there was little she could do to prevent the loss.
However, on the subsequent SmackDown, an aggrieved Tamina challenged Bayley to a singles match. Bayley announced that she would accept the offer if Tamina could defeat Sasha Banks. Sure enough, Tamina beat Banks to earn a shot at the title.
While many believe that Tamina doesn’t stand a chance in this match, there is no denying that she has earned the right to challenge Bayley for the title.
Now 42, Tamina is almost certainly past her best. But after overcoming a series of injuries and regaining some of her popularity, she is a worthy challenger.
Bayley vs. Tamina Prediction and Pick
Followers of WWE are still waiting for Bayley vs. Sasha Banks. So, with that title match yet to be arranged, it doesn’t make sense for Tamina to beat Bayley at the moment.
Yes, Tamina has grown in stature recently. But I can’t see her getting the better of Bayley on this occasion, especially when you consider how strong the reigning champion has been since claiming the belt.
Odds of +275 for the Tamina win will no doubt attract some attention. But in my opinion, there is only one winner here.
Ultimately, it would be a huge shock if Bayley relinquished her title at Money in the Bank. The bookies’ price Bayley to win is nothing to write home about, but it does seem like a good opportunity to make a small profit.
