It has been an incredible second half of the season for Leverkusen, but it might end up counting for nothing unless it can beat Mainz on the final day of the campaign.

There have been some important victories since the Bundesliga resumed that have helped Mainz escape relegation, but the draw with Dusseldorf just before the break was just as important as it meant that a major rival was unable to take a huge advantage from just that one game. Now the Mainz players can enjoy the summer.

It would be a huge surprise if Leverkusen didn’t win this one quite convincingly. It needs the three points to stand any chance of qualifying for the Champions League and — disregarding Robin Quaison’s final goal-scoring total — the visitors will largely be uninterested onlookers. Put this down as a home win.
