BATE Borisov vs. Slavia Mozyr Betting Preview – Belarusian Cup Prediction and Pick, April 29

This BATE Borisov vs. Slavia Mozyr betting preview covers the closer of the two semifinal games on Wednesday evening, but it will take a superhuman effort for Slavia Mozyr to progress to the final considering the recent form of both sides.
BATE Borisov started the year poorly but has started to enjoy a rich vein of form. That spells danger for the other clubs in the Belarusian Premier League, and especially for Slavia Mozyr here, as it attempts to keep hold of the first-leg lead to make the final.
BATE Borisov vs. Slavia Mozyr Odds
Rewind a few weeks ago, and these odds may have looked very different. BATE might still have been the favorites to win the game and reach the final, but its price would be longer, with Slavia given more of a chance. But each side’s relative form has definitely changed recently, and now the BetOnline sportsbook prices this one just about right, in my opinion, not giving the visitors a chance of the win.
Match Preview and Team Analysis
Three defeats in the first four games in all competitions of the season was not how anyone expected BATE Borisov to start off. Two of those losses came at the hands of Slavia Mozyr, too, but there seems little chance of the visitors making it three out of three on Wednesday night.
That’s because the most successful club in Belarusian soccer has now decided to begin playing this season. It has climbed the table, in an ominous fashion for the rest of the league, and now has its eyes set on winning the cup for the first time in five years as well.
Slavia Mozyr will need to somehow regain the level of soccer it was producing at the beginning of March if it is to extend its interest in the Belarusian Cup this year. Those two wins against BATE sandwiched a victory away at Dynamo Brest, and everything was looking rosy for a while.
But the shine has definitely disappeared recently, with a 3-1 home defeat at the hands of FC Minsk the latest disappointment. Defensive mistakes cost Slavia dearly in that game, and there would seem to be little chance of the side raising its game enough to beat a BATE team who is looking on top form once again.
Prediction and Pick
-
BATE Borisov to Win-308
After somewhat surprisingly losing the first leg of this tie by a single goal, BATE needs to win this game to progress to the final, and that is exactly what I think will happen. This could actually be a fairly one-sided affair, as the home side has really picked up recently, while Slavia Mozyr has moved the other way. This should end up being a routine home win for BATE.
