BATE Borisov vs. Dinamo Minsk Betting Preview – Belarusian Premier League, June 27
It may have only been a minor blip on its way to another title, but the two recent draws for BATE gave the main challengers some hope as we reach the halfway mark of the season.
Dinamo Minsk will be hoping that there is still some uncertainty with its hosts as it prepares for Saturday’s game. I cover the odds and then give my BATE Borisov vs. Dinamo Minsk prediction and betting pick below.
BATE Borisov vs. Dinamo Minsk Odds
MyBookie must be having some doubts about the dominance of BATE this season, as I would have expected to see far shorter odds for a home win and longer for Dinamo Minsk to come away with all three points here. But that does make the pricing for a surprise result unattractive, unfortunately.
BATE beat bottom-of-the-table Belshina away from home last week but only confirmed the victory near the end with a second goal. That was hardly the convincing thrashing that many expected from BATE after it has drawn its two previous games.
There is still a long way to go in the season, and BATE has looked back to its winning ways after a shaky start, but the procession to the title may not be quite as easy as some may have thought. With a group of other clubs circling and waiting for BATE to falter, this is a game that the home side really needs to win.
Dinamo Minsk has hardly been in a dominating mood itself in the last few weeks. The goalless draw with a very good Energetik-BGU side last week should be classed as a positive, but the capital city club really needs to be winning games if it is to climb the table.
At the moment, it looks far more likely that Dinamo will finish in a mid-table position without ever troubling the clubs chasing European qualification or being dragged down into a relegation scrap. That’s not really good enough for a club of this stature, and manager Leonid Kuchuk was brought in in April to do much more.
BATE Borisov vs. Dinamo Minsk Prediction and Pick
BATE Borisov to Win-108
BATE has not been in masterful form over the last month or so, but it still heads the table by four points and looks like the team with the best chance of winning the league this season. I may have been tempted to go for a draw here with better odds, but the price for a home win has swayed me.
