If you haven’t followed the most recent developments around Astralis, you are probably wondering why the World No.1 is the undergod here.

There is a very good reason for that and I explore it in the next section.

Astralis Team Analysis

The Danes are still clinging to the top spot in the rankings but there might be tough times ahead of them.

They were dominant throughout April and May but the extended break that captain gla1ve and key player Xyp9x have taken from the team leaves them a bit short on quality.

The organization reacted fast by bringing in Snappi from Team Heroic and there was an open spot for new recruit JUGI but both players haven’t been able to impress since coming into the fold.

Astralis recorded a heavy loss against the new-look Ninjas in Pyjamas and despite a decent performance against Portuguese outfit sAw, it’s evident that the team will need time to make the most out of their new additions.

Unfortunately for them, Vitality has no plans of waiting around and new in-game leader Magisk will need to rally his troops fast if he doesn’t want a repeat of the match against NiP.

Vitality Team Analysis

Recent results have been good for the Frenchmen, as they managed to overcome a narrow 2:1 loss against Natus Vincere at the DreamHack event and improved to gun down both NiP and ENCE.

Their involvement in the BLAST Premier competition so far has yielded two draws and this is certainly not an ideal start but it proves that the team is hard to beat right now.

ZywOo is still hitting top form and the fact that his teammates are starting to pitch in with meaningful performances more often bodes well for their chances going forward.

They will need to work on their strategy a bit as slow starts have robbed them of the chance to beat both NiP and ENCE in the first two round-robins but they have no reason to feel down coming into today’s tie.

Captain apEX and RpK are in good shape and ready to assist their team’s main man which can spell big trouble for Astralis.

Astralis vs. Vitality Prediction and Pick

I feel the Danes will gradually improve as the tournament goes on but beating a solid Vitality team today will be a huge challenge.

Any team will struggle after losing players like gla1ve and Xyp9x so falling heavily to NiP wasn’t a huge surprise.

Given the circumstances, I believe that Vitality will be able to wrap this up with relative ease and the -3.5 handicap gives you the best mixture of a solid price and high probability.

Pick
  • Vitality (-3.5)
    +127
