Thursday’s schedule in the ESL Pro League will see the conclusion of Stage 2. All three ties will be played at the same time and we’ll know how the playoff bracket will look like.

In this Astralis vs. mouseposrts betting preview, I concentrate on arguably the most anticipated of the matches. These organizations have a bit of a history in the latter stages of the tournament and they have performed brilliantly so far this year.

I look at the betting odds that the top rated esports betting sites have rolled out and share my prediction based on current form and key statistics.

Astralis vs. mousesports Odds

I’ve picked BetOnline’s sportsbook for this one and I present three of the main markets below. Here is how the teams stack up:

Match Winner

Astralis -145
mousesports +120

Correct Score

Astralis to Win 2:0 +149
Astralis to Win 2:1 +208
mousesports to Win 2:0 +239
mousesports to Win 2:1 +259

Total Maps Played

Under 2.5 -133
Over 2.5 +105

Things could’ve been a lot different here but the results from the last few days have handed a firm advantage to Astralis. Let’s review the latest from the ESL Pro League and proceed to my prediction.

Astralis Analysis

We gotta hand it to gla1ve and his teammates. After losing both their opening Stage 2 fixtures, the team responded like true champions and clinched two 2:0 victories against FaZe and OG.

They did struggle a bit against FaZe and the match could’ve easily gone either way, but the performance against OG was superb.

The two teams had not played a lot against each other and OG’s tactics could’ve surprised the Danes but they made quick work of Aleksib and his team with a dominant 16-8, 16-10 win.

I have been a bit critical of players like device and dupreeh, however, it looks like they have improved right when it matters most. And that’s why Astralis is such a successful team.

mousesports Analysis

After stringing up the longest winning streak in the tournament, the Mouz finally fell to an inspired Fnatic performance.

The Swedes edged a very tight first round on Inferno and then completely outplayed mousesports on Nuke which continues to be the team’s Achilles heel.

Despite the defeat, the Mouz looks to be in good spirits and they have a lot of positives to take from their other matches.

Don’t expect them to lie down here especially if they can get either Mirage or Dust II.

Astralis vs. mousesports Prediction and Pick

I think Astralis will clinch this. They have kicked into high hear in the last couple of days and they are an unstoppable force once they get into such form.

mousesports will fancy their chances and they do have a big advantage on a few maps. If they can get Overpass out of the way, I fully expect them to win a round on their map of choice.

Both teams have been involved in a lot of short matches recently and it’s time we see a third-round game here. This was the case when they last met and the price of +105 is hard to miss out on.
