Alliance vs. HellRaisers Betting Preview with Prediction and Pick – ESL One Birmingham, EU and CIS, May 26th
The ESL One Birmingham has already stated in the EU and CIS region, producing some excellent Dota 2 battles in the first two days. The competition continues today with plenty of matches and one that I like from a betting perspective is the clash between Alliance and HellRaisers.
The Swedish team has been struggling so far and is in a desperate need of a win, but the opponent has shown signs of improvement recently.
I share more details about the condition of both sides in my Alliance vs. HellRaisers betting preview. It also includes the latest odds, my prediction, and a free betting pick.
Alliance vs. HellRaisers Odds
- Alliance to win; -286
- HellRaisers to win; +211
- Alliance (-1.5); +121
- HellRaisers (+1.5); -156
- Over 2.5; +112
- Under 2.5; -143
The Alliance vs. HellRaisers odds on display here are what BetOnline has to offer for the upcoming match. I’ve picked this bookmaker because of the large number of markets available for every round from the ESL One Birmingham. You can find 40 or so for all encounters, including this one.
Alliance Team Analysis
I expected more from Alliance before the start of the competition, as you can see in my ESL One Birmingham preview. There is still time, of course, but the squad has been disappointing and lost both of its opening matches.
The defeat against NiP in the first round was nothing to be ashamed of and it was a close encounter, but the loss versus Cyber Legacy in the second is a problem. Alliance had bright moments on both occasions, so the lack of consistency has been the main issue.
That team can both draft and execute well but there have been too many errors. If Alliance can reduce them, the tournament can be salvaged.
HellRaisers Team Analysis
HellRaisers is one of the teams that seemingly struggled the most from the latest changes in Dota 2. The squad had a strong start in the Pushka League and once the new meta arrived, it hit a slump that continued for several weeks.
The good news is that HR looked strong at the start of the ESL One Birmingham 2020, beating FlyToMoon in round 1 of the competition.
And just when it seemed that HellRaisers is on the right track, the team was dominated by VP.Prodigy yesterday. I’m not sure if I can trust HellRaisers to perform today under such circumstances.
Alliance vs. HellRaisers Prediction and Betting Pick
I would normally go for Alliance to win this one comfortably, but the team had so many ups and downs in the first two matches so far that I have no confidence in a clean victory. Instead, I prefer the price of +112 for this clash to go to game three.
It’s the most logical betting pick based on the fact that both sides are struggling to close games at this point. If you don’t use BetOnline, don’t worry, the other leading esports betting sites offer similar odds.
- Over 2.5; +112
