Vegas Casino Online Video Poker in 2020

The quest for the Royal Flush is underway at Vegas Casino Online, and players have quite a few ways to participate.

I have a feeling that you, like me, are a video poker player, or you wouldn’t have selected this particular post. If I’m correct, then you know that online video poker games are fewer and farther between slots. Slot players usually have at least 100 titles in front of them.

While you’re not going to come close to 100 in Vegas Casino Online, there are 17 variations, which is better than some. This particular site focuses its energy on its Canadian and American clientele and making its service stand out from the rest.

You’ll find free banking transactions and a long list of bonuses and promotions. But, as far as the gaming, it’s a compact casino with just under 200 betting options.

I’m going to give you a closer look at the cards that you can play, including a few unique games that you may not have thought to try before.

If you’re curious about the world beyond Vegas Casino Online’s poker machines, then be sure to take a peek at our complete review. We cover everything from soup to nuts or, more accurately, promotions to payouts, and we revisit and update our findings frequently.

Collection of 17

The library of video poker games totals 17 in this particular casino. You’ll be able to access all of the gaming standards like Bonus Poker, Jacks or Better, Joker Poker, and Deuces Wild. There are also some of the expected twists on those games, like Double Double Bonus and Deuces Wild.

Video poker, like slots, is provided by Realtime Gaming. Its collection isn’t what you’d call sleek and modern, but it is functional. You’ll find that the cards and buttons are large. It’s easy to deal and draw, even on mobile devices.

Regardless of which game you select, you’ll find multiple denominations, a paytable front and center, and other information that you may need if you’re a video poker newbie.

All American

Even if you’ve never played real money online video poker before, you’re may still aware of the stand by games, like Jacks or Better. So, I wanted to give you a closer look at a few of the games that have a bit more of a twist.

I’ve seen All American Poker pop up on plenty of casino menus, but I didn’t look close enough at its unique paytable until recently. If you haven’t played this game before, you may want to give it a try, as it’s one of the 17 housed in the Vegas Casino Online video poker banks.

Two Bonus Differences

Compared to Bonus games, All American has two distinctions. The first is that it pays 1,000 credits for a Straight Flush.

Now, I don’t know about you, but I don’t get Straight Flushes very often, and I have always thought that they should pay much more. On many machines, you get quite a bit less for a Straight Flush than some of the top four-of-a-kinds.

The second area of focus in All American Poker is the Straight-Flush-Full House ratio. These numbers crank up the volume on the RTP (Return to Player percentage) and can keep your game in play for quite a bit longer, even if you don’t see a big hand come your way.

An 8-8-8-35 game

This particular RTG All American version is an 8-8-8 game, which means that you’ll get paid at 8:1 for any of those three hands (straights, flushes, full houses).

Additionally, it pays out at 35:1 for a four-of-a-kind, which is slightly higher than some of the other software providers. For example, Playtech’s All American Poker is 34:1.

So, if you’re looking for typical video poker gameplay that uses a not-so-standard paytable, then you may appreciate All American Poker. And, the 99.6% RTP isn’t too bad, either.

The European Twist

I wanted to put together a little theme when it comes to video poker at Vegas Casino Online, so I’m taking you on a journey across the Atlantic.

We’re switching gears from All American Poker and taking a look at European Slotpoker.

Poker, Fruit, and Slots

While All American stands out for its paytable alterations, European Slotpoker is an entirely new thing. It plays like a poker game, but it looks like a fruit machine. You could compare it to a slot game as well, but it would be a slot that allows you to hold symbols.

When you first pull up the game, it can be intimidating. You’re not going to see the standard paytable that you’ll find accompanying the other video poker variations. Instead of shooting for the Royal, your goal is to secure five Bars. Five Bars gets you the top prize in this game, which is 1,000 credits.

However, the one thing that I really like about this pseudo poker game is that it includes some bonus outcomes.

Matching Symbols

Let me start at the beginning, though, to ready you to give it a go in this casino. Forget about playing cards, as the only one used in European Slotpoker is the Joker. The rest of the game components are Bars, Fruit, Bells, and Diamonds.

You’ll get paid as you would on a fruit machine or slot, as you’re looking for symbol matches. Three-of-a-kind or better is a successful hand, and, of course, a five-of-a-kind is the all-around best. Along the way, the Joker can help you out, turning two matching symbols into a three-of-a-kind, or even nudging you to five-of-a-kind victory.

Fruit and Cherry Bonus prizes

The real fun (to me, anyway) comes with the side bonuses, which are the Fruit Bonus and the Cherry Bonus.

To claim a Fruit Bonus, you need to collect four and fives of a kind to fill the meter. It’s not enough to accumulate those bigger hands, though, as the prize is issued based on a series of bigger hands using the same symbol.

Once you gather up enough payouts generated by one particular game image, you get to claim the mini-jackpot.

A Cherry Bonus works a bit differently, as you’re working to fill up the Cherry meter. The gauge rises a notch every time you get at least two cherries in a game. There’s nothing more to it, as the prize is automatically given to you with a full meter, and then you get to start again.

High-low Option

European Slotpoker also lets you play the High-Low game after you win a hand. You can either collect your prize as is or wager half or all of it in a simple “pick a card” round.

It’s tough to say if this game should be in the video poker area or if it’s better suited as a slot. But, in any case, it’s something entirely different. I thought you might be interested in learning about something new if you’ve never played it before.

Vegas Casino Online may have an abbreviated game listing when you put it up against some of the more well-known US online casinos. Regardless, players still have some choices and, when it comes to video poker, some of the options are unusual and will shake up your standard gameplay.

I was disappointed that there weren’t some multi-hand selections. But I tend to gloss over some of the games that I don’t commonly select. So, when I took a closer look, the picture was much brighter.

If you’re in the mood to play something different than a Wild-driven game or Bonus poker, then you’ve got European Slotpoker, as well as Mystery Bonus Poker, Sevens Wild, 7 Studpoker, and Pick ‘em Poker (with its 6,000-credit Royal).
