100 Thieves vs. FURIA Betting Preview and Prediction

Today will see the conclusion of the group stage of the North America division in the ESL Pro League. Things are looking pretty tight right now and this provides some great betting opportunities.

In one of Friday’s crunch ties, 100 Thieves will be taking on FURIA. Both teams have taken the foot off the pedal in their most recent matchups and will now be looking to improve and wrap up their group phase involvement with a positive result.

It promises to be quite the spectacle and my 100 Thieves vs. FURIA betting preview explores the main betting options and provides an analysis of both teams’ recent form. I then lay out my betting prediction and offer a free pick in the end.

The Australian outfit is the favorite here but this matchup is very difficult to call and I expect it will be a tight affair. FURIA has proven that they can beat anyone at this level and a lot will depend on the maps here.

100 Thieves Current Form

After a great start to the tournament, the Thieves have racked up two consecutive defeats. The bad news is that they were both quite heavy losses.

Last Saturday saw them get beaten by Team Liquid on both Vertigo and Mirage. This was followed by another 2:0 sweep at the hands of MIBR on Train and Inferno.

While both teams are among the CS:GO elite, 100 Thieves will be disappointed not to have taken advantage of their recent slumps. Especially after impressing in the first two rounds against Swole Patrol and Evil Geniuses.

The efficiency of jks, AZR, and jkaem will be a deciding factor here and a win goes through all three key players coming up with the goods.

FURIA Current Form

The Brazilians have also endured two losses on the trot after starting the tournament with impressive victories over Team Liquid and MIBR.

The Evil Geniuses edged them on Train and Nuke, while Swole Patrol completely outplayed them winning 16-7, 16-10.

Losing to a high-flying Geniuses team is not the end of the world, but the defeat against Swole Patrol will definitely sting for a while. FURIA was the overwhelming favorite in this one,  however, their performance was way below par.

Still, their explosive offensive tactics are difficult to handle for any team and players yuurih and KSCERATO have been among the best in the tournament.

100 Thieves vs. FURIA Prediction and Pick

The Australians may be the bookmakers’ favorite but there is really not a lot that separates these teams right now. FURIA succeeded where 100 Thieves failed and vice versa.

With such small margins, the maps will play a key role. However, I feel the Brazilians are a good bet here.

Their match against Swole Patrol resulted in their heaviest loss in a while and they will be fired up to make amends and catch the top bracket in the playoffs. Furthermore, their tactics seem to be successful against teams such as the Thieves and they boast a positive head-to-head record against the Australians.

So, given all that, plus the incredible odds, I’m picking FURIA to come out on top.
