Things in Group B of the 2020 DreamHack Masters North American division got heated yesterday as Gen.G’s supreme tactics helped them brush aside Evil Geniuses.

Now, the matchup between 100 Thieves and Cloud9 today will give us a very good idea of who has a realistic chance of making the playoffs.

Both these organizations kicked off the event with solid wins and will be itching to seal a place in the Upper Bracket of the playoffs.

They recently met at the ESL One: Road to Rio event and the Australians took that one. So, my 100 Thieves vs. Cloud9 betting preview for May 28th focuses on how I expect things to pan out this time around and what you should target with your wagers.

It is true that daps and company didn’t have the best series but we should credit the Thieves for sticking to their guns and coming out on top in a resounding fashion.

The win will no doubt give great confidence to AZR and his teammates and with the way they beat Cloud9 at the ESL One qualifiers, they will definitely fancy their chances here.

The Americans defied the odds in their opening fixture and ground out a solid 2:1 win against the favorites to top the group Evil Geniuses.

They were once again relentless on their favorite Dust II and despite getting edged on Nuke, they kept their focus and finished the job with a 16-13 scoreline on Train.

AWP specialist floppy was in the zone and the team will rely heavily on his performance today once again as there are definitely holes in this squad on both the tactical and the kills front.

It’s a hard one to predict. The teams have played only once again since the Thieves’ broke off from their previous Renegades organization.

They did seal a 2:0 win but we have to acknowledge the fact that both Vertigo and Train are among their preferred maps and it’s not like it was a blowout victory.

Cloud9 was always in the tie and I feel JT and floppy will have learned their lesson and will approach the ban and pick phase better.

The Australians remain favorites but I feel the Americans will push them to the limit here as they did against Evil Geniuses.
